IIT Jammu Registration Open for RISE-UP Program 2023; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu is inviting applications for RISE-UP 2023 (Research Internship in Science and Engineering - 2023) an undergraduate program. Candidates must note that the application window for the program will close on April 23, 2023. All the Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website @iitjammu.ac.in/post/rise-up.

As per IIT Jammu, the program has been designed to provide an opportunity to the students to closely work with the university’s faculty members and gain valuable research experience. 

IIT Jammu RISE-UP 2023: Important Dates

The internship period will be of minimum six weeks starting from May 22, 2023, till the end of July 2023. However, it can be extended up to eight weeks with the mutual consent of the student and his supervisor at the IIT Jammu.

Based on his or her area of interest in research, a student should choose one primary project and one subsidiary project. With mutual consent, the issue statement may be changed by the student and his or her supervisor.

IIT Jammu RISE-UP 2023: Eligibility Criteria 

Interested candidates can check the eligibility norms for IIT Jammu RISE-UP 2023:

• Students with strong programming and technical skills who are eager to tackle real-world problems will be given preference.
• Open to non-IIT Jammu graduate and undergraduate students in their pre-final year.

IIT Jammu RISE-UP 2023: Financial Aid

• During the internship, all the students will receive a weekly stipend of INR 2500. However, the stipend for faculty funded projects may vary. 
• The hostel accommodation will be provided to all the summer interns, and all the students are required to pay the applicable hostel charges. The supervisors will receive a contingency budget of INR 5000 per month.

The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can follow the step wise instruction stated below to fill the IIT Jammu RISE-UP 2023 Application Form:

Step 1: Visit the official Application Portal @iitjammu.ac.in/post/rise-up.

Step 2: Click on ‘Register’ to register yourself using a valid email address.

Step 3: Once registered, activate your login and fill out the required information in the application form.

Step 4: Review the application form and click on the ‘Submit’ and for your records, print out the application form.

Note: The application once submitted cannot be edited, therefore applicants are advised to review the information provided carefully before final submission.
