IIT Guwahati PG Admission 2026 Begins @iitg.ac.in; Apply by April 10

The IIT Guwahati has commenced the application process for PG programmes (MTech, MDes, MS(R), and MA) for the July 2026 session (except MBA). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official portal till 05:00 PM on April 10, 2026.

As per the official notification, the application portal opened on March 20, 2026. The institute will conduct the selection process between May 5 and June 25, 2026, depending on the programme and department.

Candidates are required to pay the application fee online during the submission process:

• ₹300 for female, transgender, SC/ST/PwD candidates
• ₹600 for all other candidates

IIT Guwahati PG Admission 2026 – Selection Process

For MTech programmes, admissions for GATE-qualified candidates will be conducted through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2026, coordinated by IIT Roorkee.

For MDes, MS(R), and MA programmes, selection will be based on academic performance, written tests, and/or interviews, as conducted by respective departments. The institute may also apply additional shortlisting criteria based on GATE/NET/CEED scores and past academic records.
