IISER Pune MS Admission 2026 Open at iiserpune.ac.in; Check Last Dates & Direct Link to Apply

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (IISER Pune) has begun inviting applications for admission to its MS programmes for the 2026 academic session. The institute is inviting online applications for MS in Mathematics and Computing and MS in Quantum Technology through its official admissions portal, iiserpune.ac.in.

As per the official notification, candidates seeking admission to the MS in Mathematics and Computing programme must apply by March 15, 2026, till 5 PM, while applications for the MS in Quantum Technology will be accepted from March 2 to April 15, 2026.

IISER Pune MS Important Dates 2026

Students seeking admission in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, in MS in Mathematics and Computing and MS in Quantum Technology should know the eligibility and selection criteria mentioned below.

MS (Mathematics and Computing): The MS in Mathematics and Computing programme at the IISER Pune majorly focuses on advanced training in mathematics, computing techniques, and interdisciplinary applications.

Candidates must have at least 60% aggregate marks in their BSc or BTech degree. (Relaxation of 55% marks for SC, ST, and PwD candidates). The final year students can also apply. However, their admission will be confirmed only after they complete the degree with the required marks at the time of admission.

In addition to the above, applicants have to qualify the MCQ-based admission test to be held on April 4, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the IISER Pune campus. The final selection list will be released based on the candidate’s performance in the admission test.

MS (Quantum Technology): The MS in Quantum Technology is a postgraduate programme designed to provide training in areas such as quantum computing, quantum communication, and related technologies.

The minimum eligibility is similar to the above; however, applicants must qualify either through GATE (for BTech/BE graduates in relevant engineering fields) or JAM (for BSc/MSc/BS-MS graduates in physics, mathematics, statistics, or related disciplines) with a valid score for August 2026.

Candidates should know that applications will be screened based on exam ranks, with no interview for the programme.
