IIM Kozhikode Celebrates 28th Foundation Day with Enthusiasm; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK), has marked 27 years of academic excellence and observed its 28th Foundation Day on August 21, 2023.

In commemoration of the Foundation Day festivities, Sunil Kataria, CEO of Raymond Lifestyle (India and International), delivered a speech to the audience in the presence of IIM Kozhikode Faculty, Director Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Dean, Staff, and students.

Appreciating IIMK’s Institutional Vision 2047, which seeks to globalize Indian thought, Mr. Kataria extracted six significant life lessons from his own eventful yet fruitful corporate journey. 

He urged the students to confront their fears and adopt a resilient attitude to confront challenges head-on, both in their personal and professional domains.

Congratulating the IIM Kozhikode in his speech, Prof. Chatterjee remarked saying that over the course of 27 years, IIMK has evolved into a nationally eminent and globally influential institution underlining its unique position. 

In 2023, the institute achieved remarkable milestones, breaking away from the traditional 'ABC' order of IIMs to 'ABK' in NIRF rankings, and also making its debut in the Financial Times Rankings. 

He mentioned that as they move forward, the institute's vision of Globalizing Indian Thought, which is based on Authenticity (Satyam), Nityam (Sustainability), and Purnam (Fulfilment), is driving their progress. 

Further, he added that their innovative journey would continue, shaping history. They are guided by their commitment to contribute to India's realization of the Vision for 2047 – a self-sufficient and developed India. 

He pointed out that this significant year marked 100 years of independent India and 50 years of IIM Kozhikode's dedicated service to the nation.

Expressing its gratitude for their valuable contributions, the Institute also honored six senior faculty and staff members who have successfully completed 15 years of service at IIMK.
