IIM Indore Hosted G20 University Connect; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I) recently hosted the G20 University Connect. This event served as a platform for universities from across the world to come together, collaborate, and exchange ideas to address global challenges and enhance educational experiences. 

IIM Indore has collaborated with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), under the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. This event was organized on August 14, 2023.

The speaker spoke about various topics such as the intersection of education, healthcare, and global diplomacy, contributing to advancing key agendas within the G20 framework. 

According to the IIM Director Himanshu Rai “ Education is not only a tool for personal growth but also a catalyst for global progress. Our commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation aligns with the G20’s objectives, particularly in fostering sustainable development, inclusive growth, and cross-border cooperation. We shape leaders who understand global interconnectedness, capable of driving positive change and contributing meaningfully to the G20’s mission of sustainable, inclusive growth.”

Rai also highlighted the importance of adapting education according to the needs of the workforce in this rapid technology growth era. He added, “ Business schools like IIM Indore play a crucial role in nurturing future leaders who are not only well-versed in business principles but also possess a broader perspective on global issues.”

Students of IIM-I organized competitions such as a G20 quiz, essay writing, and a mock summit on the occasion.

While addressing, India Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic L Savithri said “ It’s a matter of pride to see that everyone, irrespective of their demographics, knows what G20 is, and this reflects our unity in diversity.”

She mentioned the greener world and sustainable development goals and promote eco-friendly lifestyles. She primarily focused on the energy transition, including solar alliances, interdependence, and solutions-driven discussions.

According to the Dr. Digpal Dharkar Indore Cancer Foundation “ “With such emerging technology, we can revolutionize healthcare access and early disease detection. Thus, we envision an integrated healthcare system prioritizing transparency, credibility, and expansive reach.”
