New Delhi: IIM Bangalore celebrates the successful completion and valedictory ceremony of the first batch of its Professional Certificate course in Hospital Management. Dr Devi Shetty attended the event as Chief Guest and awarded certificates to more than 100 learners.
In his speech, Dr. Shetty appreciated the healthcare professionals involved in the IIM Bangalore program for starting a journey toward skill enhancement. He also felicitated them on successfully completing the 1-year online program.
Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore, praised the learners on their perseverance and completion of IIM Bangalore Hospital Management Program 2023 and motivated them to apply the skills in their future works.
While speaking of the need for professional development for healthcare professionals, he stated that the future healthcare industry in India will change dramatically, and courses like this would enable them to administer hospitals smoothly and effectively.
Dr. Shetty further emphasised the need for synergy between the stakeholders in healthcare delivery, especially for hospitals, health insurance companies, and patients.
He further urged professionals to look for ideas and inspiration in the environment for unique solutions. P D. Jose, Professor of Strategy IIMB, highlighted the importance of strong leadership in guiding institutions.
Haritha Saranga, Professor of Production and Operations Management, reminded the learners that it was an excellent beginning for them to gain more knowledge, and they have absorbed more skills through the IIM Bangalore Hospital Management Program.
