What is the ITI Counselling Process in Jharkhand?

The names of students who pass the qualifying exam will appear on the merit list. These students will be considered for the counselling round. The counselling round involves 4 processes namely Merit List Publication, Registration, Choice Filling, and Seat Allotment.

• Merit List Publication: The candidates will be selected on a Combined Merit List (CML) basis. The candidates who have been selected from the published merit list will be called for counselling.
• Registration: The selected candidates will register for counselling on the Jharkhand Directorate of Employment & Training (JDET) website.
• Choice Filling: The candidates will fill the choice of ITI(s) and Trade(s) according to their preference.
• Seat Allotment: The candidates will be allocated seats according to their preferences.

• It is mandatory to apply for the counselling process to be considered for admission.

The trades offered after class 8th in ITI Counselling are Mason, Painter, Plumber, Welder, Wireman, Carpenter, Sewing Technician, and Surface Ornamentation Techniques. All other courses will only be offered to students who have passed class 10th.
