National Institute of Technology, Rourkela has notified that it is inviting applications for MBA programs for the academic year 2026-27. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website, nitrkl.ac.in, till March 15, 2026.

NIT Rourkela MBA Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the MBA program at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, a candidate must have passed bachelors with a minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC, ST candidates). According to the official brochure, a candidate must have a qualified CAT, XAT, MAT, and CMAT score.

As per the official website, the candidates appearing in the final semester/year examination may also apply for the above course. However, they have to produce their mark/grade sheet showing or 60% for general category candidates, 55% in case of SC/ST candidates (as the case may be) in aggregate, latest by 30th September 202,6 failing which their admission will stand cancelled.

NIT Rourkela MBA Selection Criteria

Admission to the MBA program at NIT Rourkela requires a candidate to have either the CAT, XAT, MAT, or CMAT score, followed by Career credentials and other achievements. The candidate will be called for GD and PI. Further, the NIT Rourkela School of Management will select candidates based on test score, group discussion, personal interview performance, work experience, and career marks.
