ICFAI University Ranchi has opened applications for its part-time doctoral programmes for the academic year 2026. Online applications are being accepted through the official website, iiujharkhand.edu.in, by April 22, 2026.
For those applicants who have not qualified for any of the UG NET, they have to appear in the Research Aptitude Test (RAT), which will be held on May 14, 2026, followed by an interview. The RAT exam will be of 2 hours, and the syllabus for the test will consist of 50% on Research Methodology and 50% will be on Management subjects.

The PhD programme at ICFAI University Jharkhand is offered as a 3 to 6-year, part-time course. However, Women candidates and persons with disabilities (more than 40% disability) may be allowed a relaxation of two years in the maximum duration. Applicants holding an M.Phil Degree or being qualified in UGC-NET in the same or allied discipline are exempted from appearing in the RAT examination.

Admission to the Doctoral programme will be based on an RAT test conducted by the ICFAI Ranchi, followed by an interview. Applicants are required to hold a postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks, while candidates qualified in the UGC NET exam are exempted from the entrance exam.
