According to students, the CUET UG 2024 Shift 2B Paper was leaked on May 15 in Kanpur center, which caused an uproar among candidates who appeared for the exam. DCP West Vijay Dhull ensured that NTA will conduct the re-exam for affected students.

New Delhi: CUET UG 2024 Exam held on May 15, 2024 faced a huge disruption due to allegations of a paper leak at Maharana Pratap Group of College of Kanpur, one of the exam centers for CUET UG 2024. As a result, hundreds of angry students who appeared for the exam protested in front of the college gate and some of them even threw stones at the college campus.

Due to the large protest, the Maharana Pratap Group of College authorities deployed a police force to control the furious crowd. The unusual incident raised suspicions among lakhs of students who are appearing for CUET UG at various exam centres across the country, which started on May 15 and will be conducted till May 24, 2024.

CUET UG 2024 Paper Leaked in Kanpur

As per DCP West Vijay Dhull, students who appeared for the Shift 2B exam refused to leave the exam hall even after the exam was concluded. Students were present in large numbers in front of the Maharana Pratap Group of College and demanded the fair conduct of CUET.

According to students, the CUET UG 2024 Shift 2B Paper was leaked on May 15, 2024. One student reported that “Videos of the incident showed female students actively participating and encouraging others to break the glass. Determined to substantiate their claims about the exam papers, the students persisted in their actions until the police intervened to prevent further damage, leading to an even greater uproar.”

NTA to Conduct CUET UG 2024 Re-Exam for Affected Students

To calm the situation, DCP shared that these students will have the option to reappear for the exam. "Students who were affected in this scenario will be allowed to reappear for the exam as per NTA officials. The CUET May 15 Re-Exam date and schedule will be announced for affected students in the due course of time by NTA. The future of the students is safe", DCP added.
