With the inauguration of Parul University Goa, an educational institution positioned to turn the state into a Center of quality and affordable higher education, Goa’s higher education has achieved an incredible milestone. As the Chief Guests for the inaugural and oath taking ceremony, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant, and the Hon’ble Health Minister of Goa, Shri Vishwajit Rane graced the campus. In support of its unshakable commitment to scholarly innovation and local community involvement, a series of carefully planned programs were held at Parul University Goa. Such an agenda to mix conventional Goan culture with fresh educational programs was inaugurated through cultural performances and enlightening short films explaining the history of the university's Goa campus.


These highlights included information about the Goan contribution to healthcare and higher education, the co-operation of students, parents, and staff in the university development story. With its state-of-the-art campus, Parul University Goa is now active with 549 admissions already, representing the university's vision of expanding access to world-class education.


The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant, and the Hon’ble Health Minister of Goa, Shri Vishwajit Rane, attended and officially inaugurated the campus, presiding over the oath-taking ceremony of students pursuing programs like Physiotherapy, Health Sciences, Pharmacy. The Health Minister of Goa, while addressing the Lamp Lighting and Oath-Taking Ceremony, advised the students, “By choosing careers in nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, or any allied health field, you have embraced one of the most honorable callings in life, the service of humanity,” and highlighted the compatibility of the vision of the university with the greater developmental objectives. The Chief Minister of Goa in his speech at the Official Inauguration also mentioned “Goans will now have access to the same world-class education here in Goa, as they would at any top university in India, but at affordable costs and close to home.” All dignitaries acknowledged the increasing role of the university in the development of the educational and healthcare system of the state, as it helps to develop local talent and prepares students to work in the world. Their words of encouragement were a great testimony in the form of the difference the university has already made and the additional responsibilities it will take in the next few years.


In the lamp-lighting and oath-taking ceremony, healthcare students were in the limelight and repeated their commitment to the values of excellence and care. The meetings with dignitaries and top university management were also remarkable. During these sessions, Dr. Devanshu Patel, director of the Parul Education Foundation shared the motivational tale of creating and growing a world-class institution with roots in Goa by quoting “With Parul University Goa, we are bringing the same spirit of innovation and excellence that has defined our journey so far, while creating new opportunities for every Goan student to rise, lead, and contribute to the state’s future. While Goa is often seen as a tourism destination, our vision is to transform it into a hub for education. As educationists and change makers, we want people to come here not just to travel, but to learn and grow”.


 

The event concluded with a digital launch ceremony and memorable celebrations with students, faculty, and visitors, which generated a lively atmosphere throughout the campus. The launch showcased a sign of passing an essential gateway, not only celebrating the milestones but also the willingness of Parul University Goa to enter a future of opportunities, creativity and groundbreaking development in Goa.
