What inspired you to pursue a career in higher education administration, and what drew you to your current role as an assistant Dean?
I wanted to go into the medical field and I have been very interested in Ayurveda since the beginning. Today, I am in this college as principal. If I talk about the role, I am responsible for all kinds of administrative decisions, I have to manage any kind of situation that arises in the college.
What do you see as the biggest challenges facing higher education today, and how do you think your institution is addressing those challenges?
Students do not want to come to college regularly which is the biggest challenge of today’s higher education. Students should come to college and attend classes, unless they attend classes then how will they be able to learn? When they attend classes, they will get doubts about subjects and topics related to them. If they communicate with the teacher, their knowledge will increase. Our Institute addresses those challenges, we motivate the students to come to college, to learn new things that will be better for their future.
What are your primary responsibilities as Dean/ Assistant Dean and how do you balance them with other aspects of your job?
As Principal of this college, my responsibilities are to manage all the activities of the college, oversee the faculties they are working properly or not, and manage all the projects, assignments, and extracurricular activities of the college. We focus on the healthy life of the students, and faculties.
How do you approach decision-making in your role and how do you balance the needs of different stakeholders when making difficult decisions?
Whenever I have to make difficult decisions either at home or in college, I focus on the solution rather than the problem. I believe that, if we focus on the solution rather than a problem, we will find the solution as soon as possible. I also understand the problem first of different stakeholders, then I make decisions after examining all the parameters of the results like it can be positive or it can be negative, then I decide the difficult problem in any situation.

I would like to suggest to those who are interested in a career in higher education in Ayurveda. To do this MD Ayurveda, I would tell the students that when you have command in your subjects from the first year itself, only questions related to it are asked in MD in which we read everything in brief, and today you will have to qualify the NEET test, then you are eligible for admission in MD only. If you do MD Ayurveda, you will have a better future, you can be an entrepreneur in the future there are a lot of opportunities in MD Ayurveda.
Can you describe any specific measures or programs that your institution has implemented to address the rising mental health issues and stress among students in India?
We provide various therapies like panchakarma, Nasya, Shirodhara, and so on. Shirodhara is one of the measured things that help the body to relax by ayurvedic therapy in which the southing warm herbal oil, buttermilk is poured on the head and other body parts. This helps calm the mind, and the person feels peace and happiness in the mind. After that, we also engage students in various activities to perform better and to gain knowledge.
What do you think sets your institution apart from other colleges and universities and how do you communicate that unique value proportion to students and other Stakeholders?
In our institution, we provide students with all AC classrooms, only qualified Faculties are hired to teach, all facilities are available in the institution and I talk about the hospital, in which we provide free food facilities to the patients, and provide various therapies that help the patient to recover as soon as possible.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
I would like to suggest, that in this generation you have a lot of facilities like technology, gadgets and so on. In my time, there’s no technology, or gadget available. Today’s youth should focus on building their careers as they have all the facilities, you should work on yourself, gain knowledge from various things, and one more thing, I would suggest, If you want to see yourself successful in the future you should come to the college and attend classes to understand better, discuss with faculties if you have any query related to the subject. Faculties are always available for you even after non-working hours.
