Professor Varsha Bhatt is an Assistant Professor of Commerce at the Gandhi P.R. College. After completing a B.Com. and an M.Com. from Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, she is now pursuing a PhD in Commerce from RNTU. Professor Bhatt has presented three papers and attended three workshops, faculty development programs, and awareness programs.
What keeps you connected with the education sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?
I am deeply connected to the education sector because of my passion for teaching and my desire to contribute to the growth and development of students. Witnessing the impact of education on shaping young minds and preparing them for their future roles is incredibly fulfilling for me. My experience with the institute has been highly rewarding. Working at Gandhi P.R. College has provided me with opportunities to engage in meaningful research, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the academic community.
What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
My responsibilities towards students include delivering engaging lectures, providing academic guidance, and designing assessments to evaluate their progress. Encouraging participation in extracurricular activities and providing support services to address students' needs are also part of my role. Overall, I strive to create a supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and personal development for all students.
Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to the real-world challenges?
We offer a range of extracurricular activities and programs aimed at enhancing students' skills and exposing them to real-world challenges. These include workshops, seminars, and guest lectures. In addition to academic and professional development opportunities, we also organize a variety of cultural activities to enrich students' experiences and promote holistic growth.

What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train/teach the students?
In addition to the curriculum, I employ various interventions and approaches to effectively train and teach students, such as group discussions, case studies, role-playing, and hands-on activities, Incorporating real-world examples, industry case studies, and guest lectures by professionals allows us to illustrate theoretical concepts and demonstrate their practical relevance. Moreover, skill development workshops are conducted on a regular basis.
What would you like people to know about your institute they may not know?

My suggestion to the current youth and aspiring students is to embrace curiosity, resilience, and continuous learning. Let these be your guiding principles in your journey towards success. Also, be mindful of using social media. It can be a tool for your success when used correctly.
