Barkatullah University Admission Application Increased Tenfold after it Accepts CUET 2023 Scores

New Delhi: After announcing acceptance of the scores from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023, the Barkatullah university received an astounding 1.3 lakh admission applications, ten times more than the previous year.

As per the data from Barkatullah University, a total of 80,000 of the 1.3 lakh applications are for Postgraduate programmes, whereas 50,000 applications are for undergraduate programmes offered by the university. 

The remaining seats will be filled on the basis of merit if they remain after giving admission under CUET 2023 scores. 

The university has announced that it will consider the merit obtained by the candidates in the class 12th for admission to the UG courses and the marks from the last qualifying graduate examination will be taken into account for PG Admission. The university will release the admission advertisement for the same shortly. 

With the exception of engineering, BU has almost 26 departments and offers 67 courses for 1800 PG seats and about 450 seats for the UG programmes.

On the other hand, admissions were granted for the remaining vacant seats based on the 12th merit. The CUET 2023 exam is scheduled to be held in May 2023, in order to grant admission to the UG programmes following the results of the 12th grade. 

The deadline for submitting the examination forms for law courses at Barkatullah University (BU) has been extended. Previously, the deadline for applications was April 25, 2023. It should be noted that regular, ATKT, and former LLM and LLB fourth and sixth semester students are also eligible to submit the law exam form, between May 4 and May 8 with a late fee.
