Dr. Kalyani Kabir is the Principal at Rambha College. She holds a Ph.D. in Hindi degree from Ranchi University. She has an experience of 25 years in the teaching field. She has published four books.

How do you help your students to cope with the competitions being so high in the outside world?

Yes, I always tell my students to first deserve then desire. First, you have to make yourself competent for the competition. First, you have to make yourself eligible for the competition. Then you can participate in the competition. And that’s why we introduce a subject like soft skills for the students which not only takes care of linguistic skills but also their communicative skills. Because communicative ability is something that helps one to overcome many disturbances in life. So if you want to be trimarans one has to cultivate the soft skills of one’s life besides the regular hard skills that mean the subject knowledge. In today’s world subject knowledge is not enough. We have demolished the geographical boundaries and we are going towards the kind of one economic society. Like multinational corporations, they are doing business in different countries in different states. So all these subjects & teaching can help them to overcome many things in their lives.


How would you ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for students under your leadership?

As Principal, I would prioritize creating a positive and inclusive learning environment by implementing various strategies. Firstly, I would promote a school culture that values diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every student feels respected and supported. Secondly, I would encourage open communication and collaboration among students, teachers, and parents to create a sense of belonging. Lastly, I would regularly assess and address any barriers to inclusion, such as providing additional resources or support for students with special needs and implementing anti-bullying policies to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all.


How do you ensure a safe and secure learning environment for students?

As a principal, the safety and security of our students is our top priority. We have implemented various measures such as regular safety drills, surveillance cameras, and restricted access to the school premises. We also have a strong partnership with local law enforcement agencies and have a dedicated school resource officer on campus. Additionally, we have a strict code of conduct and anti-bullying policies in place to promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
