Dr. M.V.Sruthi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Dr. K.V. Subba Reddy Institute of Technology, Kurnool. She holds a Ph.D. from JNTUA, Anantapur. Her area of interest is Digital image Processing, Digital Systems and Computer Electronics. She has published 18 papers in national and international journals.
What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?
This Electronics and Communication Engineering course will be useful in Software Engineering as well as Hardware Engineering. Jobs will be there as well and innovations will be there in the communication systems. ECE graduates can work in fields including wireless communication, signal processing, control systems, power systems, and embedded systems, ECE graduates can work in a variety of fields, including wireless communication systems, embedded systems, electrical power systems, and telecommunications. They are also capable of working in domains such as embedded systems, control systems, power systems, signal processing, and wireless communication. Finally, electrical and communications engineering (ECE) is a research area that focuses on the design and development of electrical and communication systems to answer contemporary societal concerns.
What are the best practices in the program you are doing?
So at present in our college, we have the best practices in mentoring students. In view of this all the senior faculty are allotted as mentors. As well as we do practice for the Swayam and NPTEL courses. We are involving industrial personnel to train faculty and students with advance tools and cutting-edge technology by conducting on-line and off line courses, Guest Lectures, seminars and group discussion. And enabling the students to compete at global level and create better opportunity for job employmen.in order to Increase exposure of the students in solving real life problems by participation of students in various competitions, industrial visits, internship etc. activities. Also, we encourage ISTE, IEEE and IETE membership for students to increase publications in reputed online and offline journals and conferences.
What is the program to ensure the best for the students for the future, and prepare them for the future? How does it become the best program for students to be prepared for their future?
Department is taking corrective measures to improve the students' placement record by conducting various training programs such as VLSI, Embedded system and PYTHON also company specification training programs. As a result, the growth in the highest salary package is raised gradually from one batch to other during all the assessment years. Making the students understand the importance of acquiring/ improving their programming skills, logical and analytical thinking skills, English communication skills (oral and writing) for realizing their individual goals. Identifying the areas in which training is to be imparted to students to realize their respective goals Scheduling of training classes for the students. Monitoring the performance of students during trainings and counselling them accordingly.

How do you intend to build the industry connection?
Students are exposed to real time practical experience of the subjects studied in the classrooms and realized the practical importance of the subjects. Industrial training inculcated more interest in the subjects. Students are inspired to do hard work and get placed in such industries. Communication skills of the students improved. Students were exposed to the industry standards and workplace culture, the importance of being punctual and meeting the deadlines. The outcome of industry institute interaction in partial delivery of courses completed by the students can be observed by the placements achieved in the last 3 academic years.
What are the challenges that you face while implementing this program in your curriculum?
So challenging in the sense, the developing products as per the needs of the industry. So that is a very difficult task. Once the curriculum is mostly outlined, instructors will need to search for the right required materials to align with course objectives. Often, it's difficult and sometimes impossible to find an option that is affordable for learners and works well for the course. Regardless of the class or students you are teaching; there will always be a diverse set of learning abilities that demand your attention. Faculty has to think outside the box when it comes to meeting the needs of each of their learners. Different teaching strategies are practicing here to satisfy and stimulate learners in various ways, required to put in extra hours and effort to meet their needs.
What are the types of projects that the students are working on this program through this curriculum?
So basically all the relations that are related to the communication system. Project-based learning activities allow students to engage more creatively with subject material. Learn different examples of types of activities involving social justice and community service, arts and performance, integrative learning, technology, and multi-age projects. Emerging trends are included in the curriculum. VLSI, EMBEDDED SYSTEMS, NETWORKING Core side opportunities are there. And as well as ARM technology, PCB design. So, all the technologies are related to the ECE department. If any student is especially interested in the software side, they also have opportunities with these skills.
What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
My roles and responsibilities are to update the knowledge in electronic communication engineering. As my career progresses, I may also be responsible for mentoring, managing and supervising other staff in our department. I am expertise in my subject area in order to teach students. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical demonstrations, field work and e-learning. At senior level, this could include taking on the role of head of department. I have responsibility for curriculum development and student engagement activities. Also, I undertake individual and collaborative research projects that are published in peer-reviewed journals and actively contribute to our institution’s research profile.
