Being a Faculty of the Law Department SRK University, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students? 

My primary role involves nurturing the educational journey of our students, recognizing them as integral contributors to society. It is imperative to equip them with knowledge and skills aligned with contemporary standards, ensuring that upon graduation, they are well-positioned for promising career opportunities. Moreover, I am dedicated to providing support to students in times of need. Concurrently, I am committed to fostering a conducive environment for our faculty, offering the necessary assistance to alleviate any challenges they may encounter.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty? 

I cultivate strong bonds with both faculty members and students, considering them an integral part of our extended family. In times of need, I actively engage with them, demonstrating empathy by standing by their side and providing support tailored to their specific circumstances. By offering guidance during challenging periods, I contribute to their personal and professional development. Together, we operate as a cohesive team, ensuring that we possess the collective capacity to effectively navigate and address any challenges that may arise.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real world challenges?

We actively curate a spectrum of activities aimed at bolstering students' confidence and honing essential skills crucial for tackling real-world challenges. These initiatives encompass events like Moot Court Competitions and seminars, strategically designed to provide practical exposure and foster a dynamic learning environment. Additionally, we facilitate interactions with esteemed judges from the High Court through organized meetings, enabling students to glean insights from the rich tapestry of their real-life experiences.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?

In response to the rigorous competition, we implement comprehensive learning strategies to fortify our students. Our classes span an intensive 5-hour period, strategically covering diverse subjects to ensure a well-rounded knowledge base. On Saturdays, we dedicate special sessions specifically tailored for civil judge examinations, addressing various assessments like ADPO. Our commitment to excellence extends to providing the best possible learning experience for our students. In addition to conventional teaching, we integrate practical learning through presentation activities and seminars, fostering a holistic approach that equips students for success in their upcoming competitions, additionally we provide them Internships opportunities so that they get to know about the real life problems & work on their solutions & we also take them to JAIL visit to learn more about their field.

What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education of your department?

One common challenge we encounter on our campus is the diversity in language backgrounds among students, with some proficient in English and others in Hindi. To bridge this gap, we have adopted a flexible approach, tailoring our teaching methods to accommodate both linguistic preferences. Recognizing that law is primarily conveyed in Hindi, we prioritize delivering our content in this language. However, in instances where certain concepts may be better understood in English or where information is not readily available in Hindi, we ensure that students receive comprehensive explanations in both languages, fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment, the second most important channel is the safety of the students especially girls we take care of them starting from their pickup location till there are reaching their home in a safe and sound manner.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

Building a prosperous career hinges on the foundational belief in oneself and the guidance provided by mentors, whether they be faculty members, inspirers, or familial figures. These mentors, having traversed similar paths, offer valuable insights and assistance based on their own experiences. They earnestly share lessons learned from their past mistakes to ensure that students avoid similar pitfalls. Our emphasis is on instilling self-belief in students and directing their focus towards their career aspirations, ultimately leading them to their envisioned life. Additionally, we advocate for active participation and presence in campus sessions. Recognizing the significance of shared learning experiences, we encourage students to dedicate maximum time to attend these sessions. Unlike social media, which may lack the depth of meaningful interactions, being present in the campus fosters an environment where collective learning and growth become intrinsic components of the educational journey.
