Nostalgia filled the air the moment the alumni entered the campus. The greenery, the buildings, the vibrant energy, and the camp corners captured the essence of GIBS Business School. For many, it felt like a home, like a place that built them, shaped their character, and their careers.

Decorations are one part of an event. This was not the case for the theme “Reconnect • Reminisce • Reignite”, which captured the spirit of the event wonderfully. GIBS has showed once again that education is not confined to the classroom. It is built through relationships that last a lifetime.

MITROTSAVA 2025 was launched with networking sessions aimed at providing the alumni with an opportunity to reconnect with friends, batchmates, seniors, juniors, and faculty. After networking, the gatherings were oriented towards reunions. Alumni shared the various professional milestones, entrepreneurial journeys, and personal achievements, recalling the many ways GIBS shaped these aspects of their life. It was a moment that the GIBS spirit built community beyond the premises of the institution.

Evening at GIBS culminated with a celebration and, as was the tradition, a cultural programme. Alumni witnessed several pieces that united Indian and contemporary forms of art. It was a powerful moment of celebration as alumni witnessed the spirit of GIBS, the talent, the diversity and the enthusiasm distinctly showcased in the cultural programme.

A Cultural Extravaganza That Celebrated GIBS Spirit

The Groovy Disco Night by the Pool offered another opportunity for the alumni to stretch their legs and enjoy an evening of dancing to a mix of nostalgic and modern songs under a starlit sky. With songs and laughter punctuating the air, the attendees were provided hours of wonderful entertainment, and many were transported back to their school days, albeit with greater confidence and richer life experiences.

Campfire, Conversations & Acoustic Bliss

Without a doubt, one of the most unforgettable moments of MITROTSAVA 2025 was the Cozy Campfire & Acoustic Night, held at the GIBS campus. Many alumni remarked on the “unforgettable” nature of the evening and attributed it to the live music, the warmth of the campfire, and the spirit of friendly conversation.

People were able to share stories about their crossroads- and- career moments, their triumphs and setbacks. Many attributed the GIBS Business School for the mentorship and enduring values that continue to inspire to this day.

Sports, Fun & Friendship Rekindled

The overall spirit of GIBS reflects the ideals of a well-rounded education. MITROTSAVA incorporated this beautifully by adding both indoor and outdoor sports. Alumni participated in the light hearted sports matches, games and fitness activities which reconsolidated and strengthened emotions of school spirit and a healthy competitive spirit.

The aim of these activities extended beyond sports. They were designed to reawaken friendships, reassemble teams and provide opportunities to once again relive the defining moments of their GIBS experience.

Rain Dance, Gourmet Delights & Luxury Stay

The Fun-Filled Rain Dance Party Zone captured the attention of Alumni, as well as everyone else. The addition of the rain dance to the activities during the evening was a playful touch, as everyone kept in a jovial and enthusiastic atmosphere.

And, of course, the evening ended with a range of gourmet snacks and a lavish dinner, all as a testament to the fine taste of GIBS, and its reputation for a well curated set of dishes. The combination of fine food, genial company, and moments of laughter wove the evening together in a consummate fashion.

For those who wished to celebrate for longer, GIBS had arranged an overnight luxury stay as a retreat to campus.

MITROTSAVA 2025: A Tribute to the GIBS Community

As MITROTSAVA 2025 wrapped up, one thing was clear — GIBS Business School succeeded, once again, in creating an event that touched hearts and strengthened bonds. The meet might have concluded, but the reminiscence of the meet will linger on for those who were a part of it.

Alumni departed with a reaffirmed sense of belonging, accompaniment, and, most importantly, gratitude for being part of a community that supports, uplifts, and celebrates every individual, even long after they leave.
