What has motivated your enduring commitment to the education sector and what initially drew you to it?

My strong connection to the education sector primarily arises from the opportunity it presents to contribute to students' overall development. The education profession holds a special place in my heart due to the profound respect students have for their teachers. The nobility of this field and the chance to guide and inspire students initially drew me to it. Witnessing my students secure employment and create job opportunities for others brings me immense satisfaction.

How does your college's curriculum ensure alignment with industry best practices?

Our college's curriculum adheres to CSJMU standards and is meticulously designed to meet industry requirements. To ensure the integration of best industry practices, we foster partnerships with various industries. This collaborative approach includes organizing events such as expert lectures and training programs throughout the year, providing students with hands-on experience and awareness of the latest industry trends. Our BBA program offers specializations in HR, finance, marketing, and business management.

What do you perceive as your roles and responsibilities toward the University and the students?

Currently, I serve as the HOD of the BBA program at DAMS, Kanpur. In this role, my primary responsibility is to strike a balance between faculty and students. I oversee the entire BBA program, ensuring that classes are conducted effectively and that teachers provide students with guidance aligned with the curriculum. Additionally, I facilitate the implementation of case studies and assignments that aid faculty and students in enhancing their knowledge based on their specializations. Our ultimate goal is to prepare students for success in the competitive industry upon graduation.

Could you share insights about the placements at your college?

Our institution boasts a dedicated placement cell and we have a remarkable track record in this regard. Various MNCs hire our students, offering competitive packages. Among our prominent recruiters are Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Alimco, RSPL, Mirza International, and others. Many of our alumni hold positions worldwide in esteemed organizations, with the highest package offered last year standing at 10 LPA. We also have a collaborative initiative with Kanpur Logistic Park to enhance students' knowledge of export-import business, opening up opportunities for those interested in international careers.

As the HOD of the BBA program, how do you foster a healthy relationship between faculty members and students?

This is an excellent question that speaks to the heart of our teaching approach. We take pride in the strong bond between our teachers and students, viewing it as a collective effort that contributes to our overall success. The teaching fraternity works diligently to impart top-quality knowledge to our students. Under the guidance of the Director of DAMSKanpur, teachers and students operate as a united, harmonious family. We frequently organize enjoyable activities in which both students and teachers participate as one cohesive unit. Through these activities, we maintain a positive environment that supports the growth and development of both teachers and students.

What do you regard as Dayanand College’s greatest strengths?

Dayanand College's greatest strengths lie in our highly committed and knowledgeable faculty members who are deeply devoted to students' holistic development. We place a special emphasis on nurturing students' presentation and analytical skills, which are crucial for BBA graduates. Through the use of case studies, time-bound assignments, and presentation sessions, we prepare our students to become adept professionals capable of tackling industry challenges. We conduct the Business Training activity every week, guided by our teachers, to further enhance these vital skills. Our well-equipped library and computer labs provide students with the resources needed to refine their subject knowledge.

Do you have any recommendations for the current youth and aspiring students?

To the students of today, I would like to emphasize the importance of critically evaluating the information available on various online platforms like Instagram and YouTube. Always verify the authenticity of the content you consume. The knowledge gained through reading books is invaluable, and while the youth today may not always favor books, they remain a rich source of wisdom. In our rapidly changing world, it's essential to possess a diverse set of skills, as a single skill may no longer suffice for success. I encourage students to work diligently and trust their teachers when selecting their path. By doing so, they can reach great heights in life.
