Vadodara-based Parul University was privileged to be the venue for the national programme “Viksit Bharat Yuva Samvad,” where Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, served as the Chief Guest. The important dialogue was organized in collaboration with Dr. Hemang Joshi, Member of Parliament.

Shri Arif Mohammed Khan is a distinguished politician whose tenets are forward-thinking with regard to societal reform, education, and inclusive governance. He had a long career in Indian politics and administration, served as the Union Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Governor of Kerala, and is currently serving as the Governor of Bihar. His significant understanding of administration and experience advocating for youth made his appearance at the university very impactful.

The meeting proved to be a platform where the experience of governance and energy of youth came together to discuss what the government can do to help the young people of India to make India a better and developed nation. The interactive activity allowed students and young leaders to express their aspirations, share their creative thoughts, and participate in the vision-making process of Viksit Bharat.

He said, “Most of them say, and we can also feel, that after many centuries, the centre of global power appears to be shifting, and it is no longer a race between the USA and China, but India is also emerging as a global player, which will result in transforming the world from being unipolar to multipolar. This is a fact which is being recognised not so much by us but by people who have a feel of things to come, world leaders. They are saying that India is now unstoppable.” He also quoted Jack Ma, a Chinese businessman who once remarked, "One country that the West cannot defeat is India." Shri Arif Khan’s words made a strong impact on the students, leaving them inspired with a renewed sense of pride and optimism for India’s future.

Reflecting on the occasion, Dr. Devanshu Patel, President of Parul University, said, “It was an honour for the university to host Shri Arif Mohammed Khan on campus. His rich experience in the field of governance and the energy of our young generation made it a meaningful conversation, which empowered the collective aim of establishing a stronger and more advanced India.”

The event was a testament to the belief of Parul University in developing socially responsible youth and providing opportunities that link policy-making with grassroots. With leaders like Shri Arif Mohammed Khan and Dr. Hemang Joshi present, the program motivated students to take ownership of action in nation-building.
