What keeps you connected with the education sector?

My connection with the education sector is fueled by a strong desire to share industrial knowledge and possibilities with young minds. I am passionate about teaching, and this drives me to continually seek ways to engage students and impart practical insights gained from my industry experience. The dynamic nature of the education sector and the constant evolution of engineering concepts keep me motivated to stay updated with the latest advancements and methodologies. This commitment to both teaching and learning ensures that I contribute effectively to shaping the next generation of mechanical engineers and nurturing their potential for a successful career in the field.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

My roles and responsibilities encompass providing a conducive academic and learning environment for students. I oversee curriculum development, faculty training, and educational resources to ensure a high-quality learning experience. Additionally, I actively engage in assisting placements by collaborating with industries and organizing recruitment drives. Conducting lectures and seminars on key engineering topics enhances students' understanding and knowledge. Overall, I aim to foster a comprehensive educational journey, preparing students for successful careers while contributing to the growth and reputation of the mechanical engineering department and the college as a whole.

What extracurricular activities on campus enhance the skills of students?

We offer a range of extracurricular activities that significantly enhance students' skills. Our annual symposium provides a platform for students to showcase their engineering projects and innovations. We organize workshops and training programs, ensuring exposure to practical applications and the latest industry trends. Advanced technology webinars and guest lectures by industry experts provide insights into emerging technologies and real-world challenges. These activities empower students with hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and a broader perspective, making them well-rounded and industry-ready engineers.

Any suggestions do you like to give to aspiring students?

Firstly, know your potential and understand your strengths and interests. Pursue your passion with dedication and enthusiasm, as aligning your career with what you love brings out the best in you. Secondly, patience is key. Engineering challenges may require time and perseverance to overcome, so stay resilient. Strong fundamentals are the bedrock of engineering success, so focus on building a robust understanding of core concepts. By adhering to these principles, you can pave the way for a rewarding and impactful journey in the world of mechanical engineering.

What approaches do you bring apart from the curriculum to train the students?

We prioritize developing their communication and soft skills through workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions, ensuring they can effectively convey their ideas. Co-curricular activities, including clubs and competitions, nurture teamwork and leadership. Our advanced labs provide hands-on experience, bridging the gap between theory and practice. The Industry Connect program exposes students to real-world applications and fosters industry relationships, enhancing their employability. These holistic approaches ensure our students are not only technically proficient but also well-rounded professionals prepared to excel in diverse engineering scenarios.

How do you bring a practical approach towards subjects and make them industry-oriented?

I ensure a practical and industry-oriented approach to subjects by integrating several strategies. We provide students with awareness about modern ICT tools, working technologies, and the importance of a safety culture in engineering practices. Our advanced labs are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, allowing students to engage in hands-on experimentation and gain real-world insights. Inplant training exposes students to industry workflows and challenges, bridging the gap between academia and the professional world. Regular practical lab sessions further reinforce theoretical knowledge, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By amalgamating these elements, we create a curriculum that prepares students with practical skills and a deep understanding of industry requirements.
