Being a Faculty of the CS Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

As a Faculty Member of the Computer Science Department of my college, I am primarily responsible for delivering CS related courses and subjects through regular lectures, working on web development projects, and handling administrative tasks related to the department. And my main objective is to create a positive learning environment and prepare students for real-world challenges of the IT industry.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty of your college?

In order to build good and long-lasting relations with my students and fellow faculties of our college, I regularly communicate with them, address and resolve their concerns on time. Along with this, my focus remains on delivering high-quality teaching experiences and a real-time industrial environment to them so that the gap between academics and industry demands can be fulfilled on time.

How do you bring in a practical and industry oriented approach towards subjects?

With the intention of making subjects more practical and industry oriented, I assign IT-based projects to students on a regular basis and also help them in all possible ways so that they can develop innovative solutions, grow in their career and benefit the society.

Which best practices are offered by your department to the students to help them gain necessary skills?

We have adopted some of the best approaches and course delivery models so that best quality and employment oriented education can be provided to the students. And to strengthen the subject knowledge of students, we regularly organize practicals and hands-on learning sessions and also use recorded videos, powerpoint presentations, guest lectures and PDF as additional learning sources to enhance their existing knowledge and skills.

How do you strategize and update the curriculum of your institute to make it befitting for the students?

We give our best to stay compliant with the standards and guidelines of Rajasthan University and Rajasthan Technical University to ensure our curriculum is industry oriented and up-to-date. Apart from this, we make sure that our course syllabus gets complete on time and students attend the regular revision sessions after classes.

How does your college prepare students for the placement and higher education?

The Training and Placement Cell of our college is dedicatedly working to maintain good relations with leading industries, train students as per corporate needs and take care of recruitment drives when companies visit our campus to recruit students for various job profiles. Also, we provide our full support and assistance to students to pursue higher degree courses of their choice. 

How do you prepare your students to manage and deal with the outside competitive world?

We put our best efforts into teaching and upgrading our educational methodologies in accordance with the requirements of students and also motivate them from time to time to improve their communication and industry-relevant skills so that they can deal effectively and confidently with this dynamic and challenging world.

Which extracurricular activities are organized by your institute to enhance the skills of students?

For the purpose of enhancing the skills of students, exposing them to real world hurdles and providing them a suitable platform to showcase their unique hidden skills, our college regularly conducts a diverse range of extracurricular activities including guest lectures, seminars, presentations, and inter-college competitions from time to time.

What challenges do you usually face while uplifting the education quality of your department?

For us, the biggest challenge while uplifting the education quality of our department I believe is to stay in compliance with the standards set by affiliating bodies like RU, RTU, NAAC, and NIRF. But with everyone's support and assistance we finally overcome these hurdles over time.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practices of the industry?

We rigorously analyze the latest development, trends and requirements of the dynamic industrial world before drafting and updating the curriculum of our college and also consult with experts and academicians as and when required in order to ensure we stay compliant with corporate standards and guidelines. And events like professional visits and tours, industry interaction sessions, placement specific training programs and guest lectures on a regular basis.

Any valuable advice which you would like to give to the students for a prosperous career ahead?

I would like to advise my dear students and ambitious youths of our society to pursue courses aligned with their interest and career goals like .NET, CTI (Computer Telephony Integration), MVC (Model View Controller), AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) as all of them are in high demand in this digital world and will enhance their employability skills in the present and upcoming time.
