Does JBIMS Have a Management Quota?

No. Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies is an autonomous institute. It is a department of the University of Mumbai. DTE rules split its seats 85 percent state. The other 15 percent go All India. No institution quota exists for this type of institute.

The 20 percent institution quota covers unaided private institutes only. The rule sits in the State CET Cell information brochure.

The CAP slabs cover tuition, development charges and deposits. The NRI slab is as per previous cycles. Fees are paid semester wise across four semesters.

NRI and Foreign Quota Fees at JBIMS 2026-27

Supernumerary seats sit above the 120 sanctioned seats. The brochure caps them at 15 percent of intake. One third goes to children of Indian workers in Gulf countries. The rest goes to OCI, PIO and foreign students.

Applications go to the State CET Cell portal, not the institute. Selection is on inter-se merit. So this stays a merit route with a smaller pool.

Everyone else rents. Students report paying INR 25,000 to INR 30,000 a month near Churchgate. Students describe rent as the biggest hidden cost here.
