Life at JBIMS is hectic and pushes the students beyond their limits. The days at JBIMS are not tied down with a fixed timetable. The students receive the schedule for each day the night before. The days at JBIMS usually include guest lectures, company presentations, post-class discussions, and club activities

JBIMS hostel fees are INR 7K per year. All these JBIMS hostel arrangements are only available for the boys. There is no hostel facility available for girls in JBIMS. Girl students usually find rented flats or PGs as there is no other option. If the students are from Mumbai, they are not considered for the allocation of hostel facilities. Games & Sports are conducted by the colleges but there is no sports ground in JBIMS too.
The single Red Bricked building of JBIMS includes a Decent-sized Auditorium, Classrooms, Library, Canteen, Leisure & Committee Rooms. JBIMS has classrooms with Air-conditioning & Wifi. Dr. K. S. Basu Memorial Auditorium has a Sitting Capacity of 150 People. JBIMS is one of the oldest B-schools in India with a legacy of over 52 years. JBIMS was established in 1965 by the University of Mumbai. JBIMS has been consistently ranked among the top 10 premier B-Schools in India and it holds a 19th rank in IIRF 2024 among the top Govt. B-Schools.
