How prestigious is JBIMS as a college when we look at all of the India rankings? It doesn’t have very good ranks when I Google the best MBA colleges in India. Is NMIMS better than JBIMS?

JBIMS' overall ranking on Google is impacted by its infrastructure, as the current building is a 1965 construction. However, the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility at Kalina is underway, which will improve JBIMS' ranking in terms of infrastructure. In terms of return on investment, JBIMS stands out as you pay only 2 lakhs for the entire course and receive an average placement package of 18 LPA. This is a better return than many other top B-Schools, including some IIMs. JBIMS boasts a strong alumni network, industry-expert faculty, and an ideal location, which are all factors that contribute to its success. When comparing JBIMS to NMIMS, it can be said that JBIMS is a better choice, with a lower fee structure, a better return on investment, a strong alumni network, and a more experienced faculty. Additionally, JBIMS has a smaller batch size of 120 students, which makes it easier for the college to place its students in top companies.

How can I arrange the following according to an MBA/PGDM: NMIMS, Mumbai, SBIM, Pune, IIFT, Delhi, Great Lakes, Chennai, SPJIMR, Mumbai and JBIMS, Mumbai?

I have given the preference order of the above-mentioned B Schools. However please remember this is based on my personal opinions and not any official figures 1st: NMIMS is one of the best schools in Mumbai with fewer fees and great specialization in Finance. Its distinguishing feature is its small batch size which is extremely beneficial for excellent placements. The companies that visit offer the best roles to their students mainly because of their credibility and strong alumni network. 2nd: SPJIMR too is located in Mumbai and is the second-best School after JBMINS. Its students intake is very good due to the strict selection process. The placements are at par with JBIMS but the fees are a bit higher. It's ranked in the top 3 in Operation and IT specialization in India. 3rd: One of the oldest institutes for MBA, IIFT is a good choice owing to its strong brand name and small batch size. 4th: SIBM Pune is a blend of everything; a Good campus, good corporate competition, hostel life, good infrastructure, faculty, and placement. It gives you an amazing MBA experience l. 5th: NMIMS Mumbai is great for MBA and is at par with SIBM. But I have ranked it the last owing to its high fees and larger batch size that requires a lot of competition during placements. So the ranking is NMIMS>SPJIMR>IIFT>SIBM Pune>NMIMS Mumbai

My Days In JBIMS

Limited batch size of brilliant top 30 students , gives opportunity to interact and work with them closely.
Most of the faculties are Industry people who are leaders in their respective fields, their insights and experiences makes us industry ready and job ready.

Infrastructure is old and need some kind of renovation

Companies like HDFC Ergo, Aditya Birla, vedanta, HPCL, UPI, Adani, KPMG, NPCI, Mercer, Godrej comes for Summer internship. As per report average stipensed offered is Rs. 62,700 while highest package offered was Rs. 2,12,000. Companies from Manufacturing, IT, Consulting , BFSI and services visit campus. Roles offered are TA, Policy Framing, L&D, HRBP , Diversity and Inclusion, HRIS , HR Analytics and many more

The information about the summer internships is released every year by the placement cell of the college. Profiles/roles for MHRD courses include HRBP, T and A, compensation and benefits, etc. The projects given by the companies cannot be disclosed. Overall, very good opportunities and projects are provided to work on which give excellent learning and networking opportunities.

We also also learning to manage all the things ourselves as it is a student driven college and we have to coordinate with the college management

Infrastructure can be improved but its not an big issue, we consider we have intellectual infrastructure to be great in our college
Not having our own campus feels there is something missing, but the good old red building is legendary

Our placement committee is very hardworking and everyone gets placed eventually. I really enjoyed lectures of Mr. Moradian, the god of operations. His way of teaching is really interactive and inclusive.

Canteen Food is not that great. So you have take a walk nearby for your lunch sometimes.

JBIMS has a great advantage of its location. It is near picturesque marine drive.
Industry experts come as visiting faculties and share first hand experiences.

Campus is a bit small and should be increased.
Some processes like documentation work in typical government fashion

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible after 3rd sem of the course. Many companies like HDFC, IDFC first bank, Morgan Stanley, DXC tech, HUL, Sun Pharma, Capgemini, Mahindra and Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Vedanta, HPCL visit the campus. Till now 100 % placements have been offered across all batched. Highest was 26 LPA and average was 19 LPA. I want to join as an effecient HR professional in a MNC.

JBIMS has been ranked by IIRF for MBA in Mumbai at 3^rd Position. It has also been ranked by The Times of India at the 2^nd position in Mumbai and 3^rd position in Maharashtra. Besides this, it has also been ranked at the 3^rd position in Mumbai by India today.

Is JBIMS as good as IIM in terms of ranking?

JBIMS and IIMs are both top ranked B-schools in India. IIMs obviously have a stronger brand legacy, while JBIMS often ranks within the top 10-15. You should choose the college based on your desired programs, placements, location, and alumni network to pick the best for you.
