Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, under the umbrella of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), MoE’s Innovation Cell (Govt. of India), and the GJIMT’s Skill Development Cell, conducted a 5-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “From Tradition to Innovation: Pedagogical Tools for Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems” (IKS). The programme took place from 24th to 28th November 2025 with an active participation of 63 faculty members from different disciplines, in online mode.

The FDP aimed to familiarise faculty members with the principles, pedagogical approaches, and implementation strategies associated with Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Each module delivered a hands-on understanding of curriculum design, learning-by-doing techniques, ICT-enabled teaching tools, and frameworks for incorporating IKS across varied fields of study.

The programme featured expert sessions by renowned academicians and policy experts, including Prof. V. Ramanathan (IIT–BHU, Varanasi), Dr. Kalapini H. Agasti (Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek), Prof. (Dr.) Swati Bhatia (Asian Business School, Noida), Dr. Priti Jagwani (University of Delhi), Dr. Subrahmanya Kumar K. (TDU, Bengaluru), and Ms. Ojasvi Goyal, Policy Advisor (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, GOI). Taken together, the sessions facilitated clarity on the conceptual framework, academic relevance, and the practical applications of Indian Knowledge Systems across diverse academic domains.

The FDP training was completed successfully, with a vote of thanks and distribution of certificates. It enabled participants with effective strategies and academic resources to integrate IKS into evolving higher education systems and into their teaching arsenal.
