Dr. N. Rajeswaran is the Director - IQAC at MREC. He did his Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government College of Engineering., Bargur (Madras University) and also obtained a Masters Degree in Applied Electronics from Anna University Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He completed doctoral degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He has published many research papers in various International journals and conferences. His area of research interest includes Electrical Machines, Soft Computing, Fault Diagnosis, Power System and Image Processing. The best practices that I observed in Malla Reddy College of Engineering are that the College is running Remedial classes for slow learners. Environmental Awareness preserved no use of plastic bags in campus, increased tree plantation. Sports and NSS activities are available in the campus to overall holistic development. The college promotes faculty development, Skill development, Research & Publications, and Digital Empowerment and Industry Interaction

You are a lifetime member of various professional bodies like MIE, ISTE, IAENG, and IACSIT. How do you leverage these affiliations to bring new perspectives, collaborations, and opportunities to the students and faculty of MRCE?

One of the greatest opportunities that professional members can find in an organization is the chance to invest in their professional development and networking with eminent professors with different emerging technologies. Can you describe the role and objectives of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) within the Institution? 

The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent & catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. IQAC will facilitate to ensure heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement, ensure internalization of the quality culture, ensure enhancement and coordination among various activities of the institution and institutionalize all good practices, provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning, act as a dynamic system for quality changes in HEIs, build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.

What specific initiatives or projects has the IQAC undertaken to enhance the quality of education at this institution? Can you provide examples of successful outcomes? 

In tutorial classes, students undertake group discussion, problems faced in the lecture room, quiz, class test, work exercise, in supervision of faculty. These measures improve the knowledge in the subject and appropriate planning of any work for achieving the objective. The Institute offers students services like counseling placement training support, personality grooming and Plant Visit/ Corporate Lectures/ Summer Training/ Seminar/ Project Report/ Continuous Evaluation/ Publication/ Pre- placement Talk for final Placement.

Can you share any innovative approaches or best practices that the IQAC has implemented to promote excellence in teaching and learning?

In the learning process, every student is put through a judicious blend of concepts and practices associated with high tech infrastructure facilities in a dynamic environment. The students are taught through a transformative development experience, intellectual growth, with a deep practical knowledge with sound judgment. The institute pursues innovative Pedagogy:- Info Talk/ Induction Program/ Confabulation Talk/ Class Room Teaching/ Extension Lecture/ Guest Lecture/ Assignments/ presentation/ GDs. The college has launched Alumni Portal to connect with the alumni and utilize their services, like Guest Lectures, Internship opportunities, placements, etc., Regular training & placement is imparted in the area of communication skill and aptitude to the students to make them employable.

What challenges or obstacles does the IQAC face in its efforts to maintain and enhance quality standards, and how does it address them?

The role of IQAC in maintaining quality standards in teaching, learning and evaluation becomes crucial, and hence the present research is undertaken, though on a smaller scale, to determine the exact status and functioning of IQAC and its outcome.

What is the vision of the IQAC for the future, and how does it align with the broader goals and mission of the college?

It is the prime responsibility of IQAC to initiate, plan and supervise various activities which are necessary to increase the quality of the education imparted in institutions and colleges. It can promote and determine quality related activities and issues through various programmes and activities such as seminars, workshops, symposia, conferences, panel discussions, role playing exercises, (model) demonstrations, case studies, academic meetings and any such kind of event or programme for all the stakeholders of the institution.
