With 27 years of experience in the field, she works at enhancing instructional quality and increasing efficiency and effectiveness in enforcing academic processes through the management of all academic activities. Dr. Vidya believes in furthering the objectives of the college in handling students’ activities, promoting teacher training skills, and creating conducive conditions for learning.

Throughout your career, you have occupied senior management roles at various education institutes. What are the factors that make you remain in touch with the education sector?

In terms of curriculum design and implementation, trends and practices are integrated to make sure we keep pace with progression in education. However, owing to my interest in students’ achievements, I also seek more accomplishments and growth in them. Seeing my students succeed and achieve their goals is highly motivating to me and makes me keeping going in this field.


Leadership has always been an essential competency at all levels. What is your understanding of leadership? What is your leadership style?

I strive to empower collaboration among staff and students in making decisions about leadership. I practice a participative approach to leadership. I want everyone to own the common vision and its achievements. I involve everyone in the decision-making process to make them feel valued and motivate the stakeholders to give their best.

How does the curriculum of the college ensure the best the practice of industry?

The college syllabus is made and updated with the aid of industrial professionals in order to cope with new advancements. This poses a question regarding this educational system or its schools regardless of location, predominant aim, the graduate employment, which determines what steps are taken during the teaching process. Regular revision systems ensure that the curriculum is current and does not become obsolete.


Diving deeper, do you have any suggestions where your university might improve in terms of integration of students from other races or low-income customers?

We have put in place measures that foster education in students from different races and classes. By creating strong industry links we ensure students are placed in actual industry situations. I make reasonable attempts towards learning and disseminating information about tax obligations and responsibilities equity and diversity provisions culminate in the successful management of legal policies. Another aspect of my duties is working towards the creation of a campus environment where every student is adequately prepared to become a successful member of the society in future.


What are your roles and responsibilities to the college and the students?

I make sure that our college is compliant with the law and participates in the development of the industry. We also promise quality education in a nurturing environment for all students regardless of their background. Another part of my work is building a diverse campus that prepares students to be successful in the future.


What do you believe should be one of the most important objectives of the College over the next decade?

There is an urgent requirement in the college to increase and pay more attention to student retention. We will also be focussing on term achievement by taking radical approaches to the process of teaching, expanding the supportive ecosystem and bringing businesses closer.


What do you see as the college’s greatest strengths?

We have a team of talented and active teaching staff with modern and first-class facilities. These help us achieve excellent academic performance, have a smooth admission process, and help us create strong bonds between students and faculty—those are just some of the advantages of our college.


What do you consider is the biggest potential threat for higher education in general and for the colleges in particular?

Conventional colleges are being exposed to stiffer competition from online education taking root. Institutions have to differentiate by offering compelling content, effective interactions, and appropriate interventions.
