She has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting her teaching career as a Lecturer in the year 2005. She obtained her Ph.D. from VIT University, Vellore, and her Masters from Dr. MGR University, Chennai. She has published 12 research papers in various reputed National and International journals, besides a couple of patents to his credit. In her impressive teaching and administrative career, She has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. She has endeared herself to her students and colleagues alike through her affable nature and empathetic leadership style. She attended 29 Workshops and Conferences.

Being a HOD of the college, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

My roles and responsibilities include ensuring student activities and student organizations receive adequate supervision and Responding to student grievances and requests. To enable the students to receive skilled education in the subject, in a positive, encouraging, and effective working environment.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty? 

Supporting your colleagues’ work shows them that you care about their interests and are willing to show up when they need you. 

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry-oriented?

To give up some courses with guest lectures and workshops from industry professionals. To make them register to codekaze, Infosys springboard, codetantra, etc. Improve the technical skills for the students to catch better opportunities.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students that help them gain the necessary skills? 

Providing them with a robust first-year experience. Giving the right skill development to the students. Providing them with value-added courses other than curriculum. These value-added courses add on for the students and play a key role in careers.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often does it get updated to make it beneficial for the students? 

Every three years, we change the curriculum so that it meets industry needs. College academics follow the AICTE & JNTU norms while designing the curriculum. Maintain standards of the syllabus which is very important to the student's bright future towards his career success.

What are your views on the placements and higher education of the students from your department?

For the past two years, many students are preferring to do higher studies. We motivate them and provide extra coaching classes towards the same. We provide CRT classes to students for competitive exams and settle in a good position in society. SVCET offers good placements to the students.

What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education in your department?

Since many students are from rural areas motivating them will be a challenging task. Due to

covid also students were facing difficulties in the education sector. We uplift them and improve their skills to compete in society and make their education life easier.

How does the curriculum of your department/ college ensure the best practice of the industry? 

We take inputs from industry persons and alumni who are working in different sectors and frame the syllabus. Our curriculum design is as per standards of AICTE and JNTU-advised curriculum. We follow industry-standard subjects and design to understand smoothly for the students.

How does the department/ college/ university enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to industry standards? 

Conducting various FDPs, and workshops, making them complete certifications in upcoming thrust areas. Involve faculty in various seminars and webinars to help them improve their prospective teaching skills and help the students in teaching well by clarifying their doubts.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead? 

Be focused for the four years of course and be successful for your entire life. Nowadays it is full of competition, students must focus on skill development courses to sustain themselves in the competitive world and make a bright future. Focus on the goal to achieve high success in your career.
