Dr. G. Suresh has been working as the Principal of Sri Indu College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana. He is a zealous teacher and an administrator, having rich experience in teaching, research and institutional development. He has done BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madra University, ME in Applied Electronics along with PhD in Information and Communication from Anna University as part of his education. He has published 6 patents and 45 research papers in reputed journals and conferences and has also authored a textbook. Apart from this, he has organized many workshops, seminars, conferences and FDPs and has worked as supervisor of 3 Universities till date.

Our college is offering a broad range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses including B.Tech (ECE, Mechanical, Civil, EEE, CSE, IT) along with a 2-years M.Tech program in CSE and ES domains. Along with this, knowledge of emerging technologies is also imparted to students through CSE courses in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and Internet of Things etc.

We have adopted the concept of Outcome Based Education and the aspects which make our courses worth pursuing for students are our strong relationship with leading industries and organizations, entrepreneurship and technical learning opportunities we provide to our students and training and mentorship sessions we regularly arrange for them. Apart from this, we have a stellar placement record which makes our program a best fit for young minds and future Engineers.
Which best practices your institute has adopted for the courses it is offering to students at present?
Our SICTE emphasis on collaborative learning and hence provides complete support for enhancing critical design thinking skills in students. Also, various types of technical and non-technical clubs have been established on campus to conduct co-curricular activities.
Additionally, we have adopted an industry oriented curriculum, which we regularly update after rigourous consultation with corporate experts. Also, clean and green practices for a sustainable eco-friendly environment have been implemented and we have also adopted a mentoring system in order to guide students for their academic and non-academic doubts as and when needed.
What are some unique features of the programs that ambitious students are pursuing from SICET?
Our college offers technical and value added courses and industry specific training programs to students. Apart from this, an extensive range of mini and major projects are assigned to them from time to time to help them learn new skills and implement classroom knowledge for real world issues.
And to create awareness among students about latest technologies, events and activities such as guest lectures, seminars, workshops and placement oriented training programs are conducted in collaboration with industry experts as and when required.

How do the courses of SICET ensure the future readiness of students?
We foster creativity in students through each Degree program we are offering to them at present, because our college firmly believes that creative thinkers come up with more innovative solutions for real world problems.
And in addition to offering regular and value added courses to ambitious students, we oftenly conduct internal exams and Mock Tests along with Pre-Placement Tests and then thoroughly analyze the responses for identifying the individuals knowledge and improvement areas.
How did you train yourself and your faculty members to efficiently deliver the newly introduced programs to students?
In order to upgrade the skills of faculty members and train them as per industry standards, our college regularly arranges various technical and ICT based innovative programs so that they can effectively deliver the newly introduced courses to our students.
In addition to this, we encourage our teachers to attend short term training programs, FDPs, and pursue certification courses from online learning platforms like MOOC, Coursera and Udemy etc.
How do you develop a strong linkage between your college courses and industry requirements?
For the purpose of establishing a robust correlation between our college courses and corporate demands and bridging the gaps between students skills and academia, we have signed MOUs with international level software industries and AICTE Internshala so that required skills enhancement and personality development training programs can be conducted and real-time projects along with apprenticeship can be offered to students on a regular basis.
And during those projects, they also get opportunities to collaborate with wonderful Developers. Along with this, we encourage our students to look for good work opportunities in reputable firms where they can utilize their existing skills and build new ones.
And to bridge the gaps between academia and ambitious youths skills, we have given special emphasis on our teaching methodologies and has formed good relations with CISCO Partner, SAP, IBM Campus Connect Partners, Intel Intelligent Partnership, Infosys Campus Connect followed by Microsoft Students’ Engagement etc. to upskill and upgrade students and faculty members from time to time.
What obstacles do you usually face while inculcating new courses in your curriculum?
We normally face different kinds of challenges at different levels and the very first hurdle everytime we introduce new courses into our curriculum is the timely integration of new emerging technologies as per industry needs and developments.
Another roadblock in front of us remains of upskilling students in accordance with corporate standards and balancing academic schedules and prioritizing career guidance within a time frame.
On what kinds of projects your students are currently working on under the latest programs?
At present, our students are currently working on a diverse range of mini-major academic, social, research oriented and industrial projects. And our college has collaborated with top-notch industries of various Engineering domains to ensure students get best internships and real-time projects from time to time to brush up their skills and use their classroom learning into real world scenarios.
What career options would be available to students after pursuing the B.Tech and M.Tech courses from SICET?
As far as career scope is concerned, so plentiful and amazing opportunities are available in the IT and other industries for skilled and highly qualified Computer Science Engineers.
