Dr. T. Vishnu Priya is a distinguished academician and able administrator with more than 18 years of experience. She has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as a Lecturer in the year 2005. She obtained her PhD from K.L Educational Society, Vijayawada, and her Masters from V.R Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada. She has published 12 research papers in various reputed National and International journals, besides a couple of patents to his credit. In her impressive teaching and administrative career, she has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. She has endeared herself to her students and colleagues alike through her affable nature and empathetic leadership style.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?
The department of ECE right now has so many opportunities in software as well as hardware. In hardware, we have VLSI embedded systems, and PCB designing, complete automation in the electronics. For example, electrical vehicles refrigerators, and microwaves. Embedded systems have wide applications. So, in electronics and communication engineering, both electronics as well as communications provide many opportunities to the students. Compared to the other departments electronics and communication engineering are some of the best fields in engineering because they offers many opportunities to the students.
What are the best practices in the program you are doing?
Theoretically as well as practically we are implementing many projects and practicals during the 4 years program. For example, any electronic gadget or any communication device like transmitters and receivers is designed by the students only with the help of the teacher who is the assistant professor.
How do you tend to build an industry connection with the program?
At the college level we are implementing that is we are providing many theoretical concepts, but coming to the industry when the theoretical approach is related to industry then only they will have plenty of knowledge through practical experience.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program into your curriculum?
Challenges were faced during the engineering course through 4 years. So, while going outside, for example, the industry needs different approaches. So, here we do not have any advanced curriculum activities. For example, in embedded systems VLSI, or any PCB design. So, in particular, for industry purposes, they have more advanced ones compared to our theoretical curriculum. So, that is why how we need to implement more advanced topics in the theoretical curriculum also. Then only we can meet the expectations of the industry.
What are the types of projects that students are working on in this program?
Students are doing simulations as well as the implementation of the practical designs. For example, in antennae let us consider electronics and communication engineering they can design the antenna with the help of a high-frequency structure simulator HFSS as well and they are implementing the antenna with the help of a practical approach.
What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?
After completion of the B.Tech, students choose the two fields software as well as hardware. So, right now electronics and communication engineering have plenty of opportunities in the hardware because right now embedded systems and VLSI both play vital roles in the industry's complete automation. So, that is why most people opt for the hardware. So, that is why most of the colleges are implementing VLSI as well as embedded systems, workshops, and students' curriculum activities and certification programs.
What do you think are your roles and responsibilities as a HOD?
The main role of the HOD of this college or particular department is to ensure that the students can enhance their communication skills as well as how to relate with the industry needs.
