Mr. K. Pradeep Kumar is a distinguished academician and able administrator with more than 11 years of experience. He has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as Assistant Professor from 2013. Prior to assuming the position of the HOD, He was the Assistant Professor in Dhanekula Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vijayawada. He obtained his Masters in 2017. He has published 17 research papers in various reputed National and International journals, besides a couple of patents to his credit. In his impressive teaching and administrative career, He has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. He has endeared himself to his students and colleagues alike through his affable nature and empathetic leadership style.

Being a HOD of College, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

To improve student performance by conducting classes & Seminars. We follow regular updates from students to achieve academics in the proper manner or not. Regular monitoring for students is very important in the teaching field.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty? 

To establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty by solving their academic difficulties. Teaching the real life examples to students will build good rapport with the students and as well as faculty.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented ?

The practical approach is very important to the students at their college time, we make it by various industrial visits and practical approaches to the students. The teaching pattern also improved day by day to understand the conceptual learning to the students.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills? 

The best practices offered by the department to the students to gain necessary skills are by giving guest lecturers with the resource persons and experts from the industry. The outside competition is explained regularly to get attached to the competitor world to get success in life.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students? 

We strictly follow the AICTE curriculum and for every three we update the syllabus with industrial needs. The practical approaches methods are being used to explain each and every topic to the students according to their curriculum.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world? 

To cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world, we allow the passed out students and give motivation to the students, so that they can know the real world how it is being tough to survive outside.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

We do have extra curricular activities/programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to the real world challenges such as Yoga sessions, Sports, Social service (NSS) programs, Fests on campus etc.

What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education of your department? 

The major challenge is communication skills of the students and lack of interest in studies to the students. Majority of the students are from rural backgrounds so we need to uplift their communication skills and subject knowledge in systematic methods.

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same? 

Our vision is providing 50% practical training in college hours so that students can invest time on theory part at their home. We used to try day by day to achieve a practical approach to the students.

How does the curriculum of your department/ college ensure the best practice of the industry? 

As I said earlier we follow AICTE norms curriculum to teach the students. We allow students to do lab work like a practical approach anytime in campus labs for the perfect output and knowledge to the students.

How does the department/ college/University enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to the industry standards? 

The department enhances the skills of the faculty and prepares them according to the industry standards by conducting regular FDPs and workshops. The faculty interview was also conducted in a difficult manner to select a teacher in the institute.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

My valuable advice to the students is to study well because future study is very important. Most of the jobs are technology based so getting regular study will make a bright future for the students.
