Mr. Asheesh Gupta is an Assistant Professor and the Admission Head of the Kanpur Institute of Technology. He has completed his preliminary education at BNSD Inter College, Kanpur. He has an M.Tech. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Motivational Pathway. Mr. Gupta has worked as a project associate at IIT Kanpur and has over 14 years of experience in the education industry. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD from Rajasthan Technical University in the Ultra Wideband Antenna.

My enduring connection with the education sector stems from a profound commitment to nurturing students' overall growth. Education, being a noble profession, is characterized by the mutual respect between students and educators, which has been a significant motivation for my continued involvement. Witnessing my students' success, both in securing employment and creating opportunities for others, brings me immense fulfilment.

How does the curriculum at KIT ensure alignment with industry standards?

Our curriculum, designed in accordance with AKTU standards, is meticulously crafted to meet industry requirements. We ensure industry best practices through collaborations, organizing various events such as expert lectures and training programs, and providing students with hands-on experience in the latest industry practices.

What do you perceive as your responsibilities towards the institute and its students?

As the Admission Head and Professor, I strive to maintain a balance between faculty and students, overseeing the Engineering program's smooth functioning. This involves ensuring that our faculty provides top-notch guidance, offering case studies and assignments tailored to each specialisation. It is my responsibility to prepare students for the competitive industry landscape post-graduation.

Could you share insights into the placement scenario at KIT?

With a dedicated placement cell and an exemplary track record, KIT boasts placements with renowned companies such as HCL, Infosys and many others. Our various industry tie-ups help the students acclimate to the industry norms. We have achieved 90% student placements on a YOY basis and we are constantly working with our partners to increase the percentage.

As an Admission Head, how do you foster a positive relationship among faculty and students?

Building a strong bond between faculty and students is paramount for us. We encourage teamwork through various fun activities. We work to ensure there is a collaborative environment where both parties flourish together under the guidance of our Director. Such initiatives foster a supportive ecosystem for career growth.
