Industrial Visit to C.P Cold Storage, Barabanki, Lucknow

The Mechanical Engineering Department of B.I.E.T., Lucknow organized an industrial visit to C.P Cold Storage at Barabanki, Lucknow on May 8th, 2023, from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm attended by 60 students and led by faculty members Mr. Rohit Kumar and Mr. Pravesh Kumar Singh. The tour aimed to provide practical exposure to mechanical engineering concepts applied in the cold storage industry. The students observed different stages of the process followed in a cold storage during the visit. The students learned about the different types of compressors and refrigeration systems used in the industry and how they are maintained for optimum performance. They also had the opportunity to interact with the engineers and technical staff working in the cold storage facility, who shared their expertise and answered the queries of the students.

The tour was successful, and students gained valuable knowledge and experience. The department plans to continue organizing such practical learning opportunities in the future.

International Yoga Day Celebration at Bansal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow

International Yoga Day is celebrated worldwide on June 21st to promote awareness about the benefits of practicing yoga for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Bansal Institute of Engineering and Technology in Lucknow organized a grand event on this occasion, aiming to encourage students, faculty, and staff to adopt yoga as a part of their daily lives. This report presents an overview of the International Yoga Day celebration held at the campus. The main objective of the International Yoga Day celebration at the institute was to create awareness about the importance of yoga and its positive impact on individuals' health and well-being. The event aimed to inspire participants to incorporate yoga into their daily routines for a healthier and balanced lifestyle. 

The celebration began with an inauguration ceremony graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including yoga experts, faculty members, and administrative staff. The chief guest delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the significance of yoga in modern life.

Multiple yoga workshops were organized in the morning, conducted by experienced yoga instructors. These workshops catered to different levels of expertise, ranging from beginners to advanced practitioners. The sessions covered various yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques.

Large group sessions were organized in the institute's auditorium, where participants gathered to practice yoga together. These sessions aimed to foster a sense of unity and harmony among the participants and promote the collective benefits of practicing yoga. Dedicated zones were set up for meditation and relaxation, providing participants with a peaceful environment to rejuvenate their minds and bodies.

World Water Day Campaign

On the occasion of World Water Day (22-03-2023), the department of Agricultural Engineering organized an awareness campaign for spreading the importance and awareness among people for saving water in their daily routine. The campaign carried out the messages on the concepts of ‘SAVE WATER, SAVE LIFE’. The campaign was flagged off from the college campus. The students distributed pamphlets with messages on water conservation techniques and its implementation at various levels. The campaign passed through Govind Puram and Nyay Vihar colony in the Mubarakpur area. The students took a pledge to save water, plant saplings and take efforts to preserve rainwater in storage tanks and water bodies in their respective villages and towns. The local people have been urged to Water your plants with the water you used to wash vegetables. Do not let the tap run when cleaning vegetables and preparing food. Lost and wasted food also means wasted water. Do not pour food waste, oils, medicines and chemicals down the toilet or drains. Share the water actions you take with your family, friend and community. The campaign came to an end at the exit gate of Nyay Vihar colony.
