New Delhi: A dual degree program in computer science and engineering (CSE) will be offered by the University of Auckland (UoA) and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Students will be able to obtain two degrees and experience life abroad. Upon course completion, Indian students will receive a post-study work visa for New Zealand.

Upon course completion, Indian students will receive a post-study work visa for New Zealand. Scholarships of up to $20,000 will also be given to outstanding students who apply for a dual degree program to help with their tuition costs.

According to a statement from Amrita University, this financial assistance would help to improve the connections between New Zealand and India in the field of education. The dual-degree program, according to the universities, will also give students the chance to complete an industry-based internship and be exposed to chances for top-notch research.

The dual degree program aims to provide students with a genuinely global learning experience by combining the expertise and resources from both universities. The joint statement states that students will be guided by the faculties of both universities and will have the chance to study multidisciplinary courses in order to broaden their perspectives and develop new computer science abilities.

According to John Hosking, dean of science at the University of Auckland, "our commitment to providing a powerful combination of academic excellence and a pathway for students to become global citizens is strengthened by our collaboration with Amrita University, one of the renowned institutions of India.

Prospective students will get the chance to study in two countries with vibrant cultures—New Zealand and India—through the dual degree program. The University of Auckland and Amrita University are both ranked highly in The University Impact Rankings, which assesses the performance of international institutions in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.The dean of Auckland University continued, "Our collaboration will create significant synergies that will support our joint efforts to realize the SDGs".
