Assam NEET PG 2025 Stray Round Registration Begins @dme.assam.gov.in; Seat Allotment on February 23

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has announced the schedule for the Stray Vacancy Round of NEET PG 2025 counselling for admission into vacant postgraduate medical seats under the Assam State Quota. The counselling process will be conducted in online mode for Government Medical Colleges of Assam and Dr B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, for the academic session 2025.

As per the official notification, candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2025 and secured the required cut-off score are eligible to participate in the stray round. However, applicants must ensure that their name and NEET PG 2025 roll number are included in the state provisional merit list released by the Directorate. Candidates who have already joined seats up to Round 3 of either the All India Quota (AIQ) or the State Quota will not be eligible to participate in this round.

The online registration process for the Assam NEET PG 2025 stray round counselling will begin on February 20, 2026, and will remain open until 11:59 PM on the same day. After successful registration, candidates can complete the online choice filling on February 21, 2026, until 5 PM. The choice locking window will also be available on February 21 from 4 PM to 11:55 PM.

Assam NEET PG 2025 Stray Vacancy Round Dates

The seat allotment process will be conducted on February 22, 2026. The Directorate will release the result along with the college-wise and subject-wise list of provisionally selected candidates on February 23, 2026. Selected candidates must report and complete the admission formalities at their allotted institutions between February 27 and February 28, 2026.
