How to check VITEEE Exam Center 2027 Allotted?
After registration closes, VIT opens the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) on the official website. Through OTBS, candidates can see their allotted city and book a preferred exam date and time shift at a specific center within that city. The OTBS window is expected to open in April 2027, close to the exam dates, and remains open for only 2 to 3 days. Slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The steps involved to check the allotted VITEEE exam center 2027 and complete slot booking include:
- Step 1: Visit the official website of VITEEE.
- Step 2: Click on the "Online Test Booking System (OTBS)" link on the homepage.
- Step 3: Log in using your VITEEE 2027 application number and password.
- Step 4: The portal displays the allotted city and available exam dates and time slots within that city.
- Step 5: Select the preferred exam date and time shift - Shift 1 (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) or Shift 2 (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM).
- Step 6: Confirm the booking - this step is irreversible. Download and save the slot booking confirmation immediately.
Note: Candidates must appear at the designated exam center on the booked date and time slot. The specific exam center address and seat details are going to be available on the VITEEE Admit Card 2027, which can be downloaded approximately 48 hours before the booked exam date.
VITEEE 2027 Exam Center Allotment Process
VITEEE uses a two-stage center allotment process that sets it apart from other national engineering entrance exams. Candidates declare their city choice at the time of registration. After registration closes, VIT confirms the city and opens the OTBS window, where candidates self-select the specific center, exam date, and time shift within that city.
| Stage | What Happens | Expected Timing (2027) |
|---|---|---|
| Registration | Candidate selects 1 preferred exam city during form submission | October 2026 - March 2027 (expected) |
| City Allotment by VIT | VIT confirms the candidate’s city; notification sent to registered email | April 2027 (expected) |
| OTBS Slot Booking | Candidate logs in to choose preferred exam date and time shift at a specific center within the allotted city; window open for 2 to 3 days only | April 2027 (expected) |
| eAdmit Card Download | Final exam center address, date, and slot details become available approximately 48 hours before the booked exam date | Late April - May 2027 (expected) |
| Exam Conduction | Candidate appears at the specific center as printed on the admit card | Late April - Early May 2027 (expected) |
Note: If a candidate’s chosen city has insufficient capacity, VIT may allot the nearest available city. Candidates who miss the OTBS window are assigned a default slot by VIT with no further choice available.

Based on the 2026 cycle, where VITEEE expanded to 9 centers across 7 countries (up from 4 centers in 2025), a similar or larger international footprint is expected for 2027. Candidates who select an international city during registration are going to be allotted only that city and will not be given any other city preference. - All candidates must carry the VITEEE Admit Card 2027 along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam center. Entry is strictly not permitted without the admit card.

- All VITEEE exam centers operate under CCTV and webcam surveillance throughout the exam.
- Carrying mobile phones, digital calculators, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, pagers, or any textual material to the exam center will result in disqualification.

- Rough work must be done on the sheet provided at the center and must be submitted to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
VITEEE Exam Center 2027 FAQs
Ques. Can I change my VITEEE 2027 exam center after slot booking?
Ans. No. VIT enforces a strict no-edit policy after slot booking is confirmed through OTBS. Neither the exam city, date, nor time shift can be changed once submitted. The city itself is also fixed from the time of registration - candidates must therefore choose their preferred city carefully at the application stage, since that is the only opportunity to indicate a preference.
Ques. How many cities can I choose during VITEEE 2027 registration?
Ans. Candidates can select only 1 exam city at the time of filling the VITEEE 2027 application form. This single city preference becomes the location for OTBS slot booking after registration closes. VIT recommends choosing a city in the candidate’s home state, current address state, or school state.
Ques. What is the OTBS slot booking process for VITEEE 2027?
Ans. OTBS (Online Test Booking System) is VITEEE’s unique self-booking portal. After registration closes, VIT opens the OTBS window (expected April 2027) for 2 to 3 days. Candidates log in with their application number and password, view available slots within the allotted city, and choose a preferred exam date and time shift (Shift 1 or Shift 2). Slots fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so candidates who book early get better availability of dates and times.
Ques. What documents should I carry to the VITEEE 2027 exam center?
Ans. Candidates must carry the VITEEE Admit Card 2027 and a valid photo ID proof. Accepted IDs include Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License. Without the admit card, entry to the exam hall is not permitted.
Ques. Are there VITEEE exam centers outside India?
Ans. Yes. Based on the 2026 cycle, VITEEE is expected to be conducted at 9 international centers across 7 countries - UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah), Kuwait (Kuwait City), Oman (Muscat), Qatar (Doha), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Singapore, and Bahrain (Manama). Candidates selecting an international city during registration are allotted only that city and are not given any alternative city preference.
Ques. How early should I reach the VITEEE 2027 exam center?
Ans. Candidates must report at the exam center at least 1.5 to 2 hours before the slot start time. For Shift 1 (exam at 9:00 AM) report by 7:30 AM, and for Shift 2 (exam at 2:00 PM) report by 12:30 PM. Late entry is not permitted. Mandatory biometric verification at the gate adds to the processing time, so arriving early is strongly advised.
Ques. What happens if I miss the VITEEE 2027 OTBS slot booking window?
Ans. If a candidate misses the OTBS window, VIT assigns a default exam slot and center automatically. There is no appeal or change request process after the window closes. Candidates are strongly advised to complete slot booking as soon as the OTBS portal opens to secure their preferred date, time, and center.
Ques. Is accommodation provided at VITEEE exam centers?
Ans. No. Accommodation is not provided at VITEEE exam centers. Candidates are responsible for their own travel and stay arrangements. Choosing a city close to home during registration helps avoid last-minute travel difficulties on exam day.
