UGMAC 2026 Registration and Application Process

UGMAC 2026 registration is entirely online at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The registration window opens only after NEET UG 2026 results are declared. Based on previous years, the window stays open for only 5 to 7 days. You must complete all steps — including fee payment — within that window.

Steps to Register for UGMAC 2026

1. Visit the official BCECEB website: Go to bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and click the active UGMAC 2026 registration link from the notice board
2. Enter NEET UG 2026 credentials: Submit your NEET UG 2026 roll number, date of birth, and registered mobile number. An OTP is sent to your NEET-registered number for verification
3. Fill personal and academic details: Enter your full name, address, contact details, Class 12 board and marks, NEET 2026 score and rank, and category information
4. Select course preference: Choose whether you want to apply for MBBS, BDS, BVSc & AH, or multiple courses. Each course type may require a different security deposit
5. Upload required documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, Class 10 certificate, Class 12 mark sheet, NEET scorecard, domicile certificate, and category certificate if applicable
6. Pay registration fee and security deposit: Pay the non-refundable registration fee plus the applicable refundable security deposit through online mode — debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Save the payment confirmation receipt
7. Submit and take printout: Submit the completed form, download the confirmation receipt, and save a printout for your records

Documents to Upload During Registration

• Recent passport-size photograph (as per specified dimensions and format)
• Scanned signature
• Class 10 certificate or mark sheet (for date of birth proof)
• Class 12 mark sheet and pass certificate
• NEET UG 2026 scorecard
• Bihar domicile certificate issued by Tehsildar / SDO / DM

The same UGMAC registration covers Round 1 and Round 2 counselling. A fresh registration with a new fee may be required for the Mop-Up round — confirm this from the official UGMAC 2026 schedule once BCECEB releases it.

UGMAC 2026 Seat Matrix — MBBS, BDS, and BVSc Seats

Bihar has 13 government medical colleges and several private medical colleges participating in UGMAC 2026. The official 2026 seat matrix will be released by BCECEB along with the counselling schedule. The data below is based on the UGMAC 2025 seat matrix and is expected to be largely similar for 2026.

BDS and BVSc & AH Seats Under UGMAC 2026

For BDS, the two government dental colleges are Patna Dental College (30 seats) and Government Dental College, Rahui, Nalanda (85 seats). Private dental colleges include Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences, Mithila Minority Dental College, and Sarjug Dental College.

For BVSc & AH, seats are available at Bihar Veterinary College, Patna (56 seats) and College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Kishanganj (80 seats) under Bihar Agricultural University.

AIIMS Patna (125 MBBS seats) is not included in UGMAC. Admissions to AIIMS Patna are handled separately through AIQ counselling by MCC, New Delhi — not through BCECEB.

Category-wise Reservation in Bihar

Bihar follows a specific reservation matrix for UGMAC state quota seats. The categories and percentages differ from the central government pattern — Bihar has a higher EBC reservation (18%) and a lower ST reservation (1%) compared to national norms. Know your category clearly before registration, as submitting the wrong category during registration can affect your allotment.

Bihar’s UGMAC seat matrix also uses a female sub-column (F_) within each category — for example, F_UR, F_SC, F_EBC, F_BC, and F_EWS. This means a portion of each category’s seats is reserved specifically for female candidates. These female sub-columns appear separately in the official seat matrix and can be strategically targeted by female candidates who may qualify in the female sub-column with a slightly lower rank than the open male column.

For private medical colleges, 50% of seats are state quota (following the same reservation matrix), and the remaining 50% are Management Quota. Management Quota seats have no caste-based reservation — they are filled purely on NEET merit among all applicants.

If you belong to EBC or BC category, your certificate must be issued by a Bihar government authority mentioning the Bihar state EBC/BC category specifically. A central OBC certificate alone does not qualify you for Bihar’s EBC or BC reservation in UGMAC.

UGMAC 2026 Document Verification

Document verification is mandatory after seat allotment in UGMAC 2026. You must physically report to the designated reporting centre with all original documents and self-attested photocopies. BCECEB staff verify each document against your registration data. Missing even one document can result in cancellation of your allotment.

Carry each document in original along with 5 self-attested photocopies of every document. Bring an extra set — verification can require multiple copies at different counters.

EWS certificates must be from Financial Year 2025–26 or 2026–27. Older EWS certificates are not valid and will result in rejection of your EWS category claim during verification.

UGMAC 2026 Fee Structure

UGMAC 2026 fees consist of a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit, both paid at the time of registration. The security deposit is returned if you complete the process or formally withdraw — but it is forfeited if you are allotted a seat and fail to report for document verification.

All payments are online — debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Cash payments are not accepted.

To be considered for private medical college allotment, you must pay the ₹2,00,000 security deposit at the time of registration — it cannot be added separately after allotment. Candidates who pay only the government college deposit will not be eligible for private medical college allotment in UGMAC 2026.

Annual Tuition Fee at Bihar Government and Private Medical Colleges

Government college tuition fees are regulated by the Bihar government and are among the lowest in India. Private college state quota fees are regulated by the state fee committee — management quota fees are set by each college within the regulated cap.

Tips for UGMAC 2026 Counselling

UGMAC counselling is fast-paced and document-heavy. A few steps taken today — before the registration window even opens — can make the difference between getting a seat and losing one.

Prepare Before Registration Opens

• Get your Bihar domicile certificate now: This is the single most important document for UGMAC and the one most candidates scramble for at the last minute. Apply at your local Tehsildar or SDO office immediately. The process can take 1–2 weeks in some districts. A fresh 2026-issued certificate is required — older ones may be rejected.
• Check your caste/EBC/BC certificate carefully: Bihar’s caste categories (EBC, BC) are state-specific. Ensure your certificate was issued by a Bihar government authority and mentions the Bihar state category. A central OBC certificate alone does not work for Bihar’s EBC or BC reservation.
• Get a fresh EWS certificate if needed: EWS certificates must be from Financial Year 2025–26 or 2026–27. If yours is older, apply for a new one now — this has been a common rejection point in past UGMAC cycles.
• Study the 2025 seat matrix: Download the UGMAC 2025 seat matrix from the BCECEB website and understand which colleges have seats in your category. This saves critical time when the 5-day registration window opens.
• Keep payment ready: The registration fee and security deposit must be paid in the same registration session. If you want to be considered for private medical colleges, keep ₹2,00,000 available in your bank account or on a card with sufficient limit before registration opens.

During Choice Filling

• Add as many choices as possible: There is no penalty for adding more choices. Add every college you would be willing to join — from your top preference down to the safest backup. More choices means more chances of allotment.
• Put government colleges first if fees matter: Government college fees in Bihar are around ₹1.06 lakh per year versus ₹6–15 lakh per year in private colleges. If keeping costs low is a priority, rank all government colleges above private ones.
• Use the full window to research: Do not rush to lock choices on Day 1. Spend the window researching each college — location, clinical facilities, PG track record, hostel availability — before finalising your order. Lock only when confident.
• Lock manually and take a screenshot: Manually lock your choices and take a screenshot of the locked confirmation. Auto-lock at deadline is a fallback, not a strategy.

After Seat Allotment

• Report immediately — the window is 2–3 days: Missing the document verification window means losing your seat and your security deposit. Mark the dates the moment allotment is declared and travel arrangements if the reporting centre is far from home.
• Bring 5 complete sets of photocopies: Different verification counters require different documents. Five self-attested sets covers you at every counter without backtracking.
• Use Round 2 for upgradation without risk: You can participate in Round 2 to seek a better college without forfeiting your Round 1 allotment. If Round 2 gives a better seat, your Round 1 seat releases automatically. If it doesn’t, your Round 1 admission stands.
