UGMAC 2026: Round 3 Counselling Schedule (Out), Eligibility, Seat Allotment, Cutoff and College Predictor

UGMAC 2026 is the Bihar Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for admission to MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H., and B.F.Sc. courses in government and private medical, dental, veterinary, and fisheries colleges in Bihar. UGMAC 2026 Round 3 online registration and choice filling will begin on October 3, 2026, for eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates against vacant seats after Round 2 counselling.

• UGMAC 2026 Round 3 Registration: Online registration and submission of the Application-cum-Choice Filling will start on October 3, 2026. Eligible candidates who have not registered earlier, or who registered but did not complete the application and fee payment, can participate.
• Eligibility: Qualified NEET UG 2026 candidates who are eligible for UGMAC 2026 and have not taken admission to any Medical/Dental College in India can apply for Round 3 counselling.
• Vacant Seat Matrix: The updated seat matrix after Round 2 counselling is available on the official BCECEB website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Candidates should check the available seats before submitting their choices.
• Round 2 Counselling: UGMAC 2026 Round 2 counselling was conducted from September 27 to 29, 2026. Round 3 counselling will be conducted for seats remaining vacant after Round 2.
• Courses Covered: Round 3 counselling covers MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H., and B.F.Sc. courses in government and private institutions in Bihar.
• Choice Editing: Candidates who have already registered can also edit their application form data and choices during the Round 3 counselling window, as permitted by BCECEB.

What is UGMAC 2027?

UGMAC stands for Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling. It is the state-level centralised counselling process conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for MBBS and BDS admissions in Bihar. UGMAC 2027 will use NEET UG 2027 scores as the sole basis for merit — there is no separate state-level entrance exam for Bihar medical admissions.

The counselling covers seats in both government and private medical colleges in Bihar. More than 4,100 MBBS and BDS seats across 25+ colleges are filled through UGMAC every year. The entire process — registration, choice filling, and allotment — is managed online through the official BCECEB portal at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Document verification is done offline at designated centres after each allotment round.

You should note that AIIMS Patna is NOT part of UGMAC. AIIMS Patna has 125 MBBS seats and is managed separately by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the All India Quota. UGMAC only handles Bihar state quota seats in state government colleges and the state quota portion of private medical colleges in Bihar.

UGMAC 2027 Important Dates (Expected)

UGMAC 2027 dates are not yet officially announced by BCECEB. All dates below are expected, based on the UGMAC 2026 schedule. BCECEB typically releases the UGMAC notification 6–8 weeks after the NEET UG result. Once NEET UG 2027 results are declared, the official 2027 schedule will be published on bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

UGMAC 2027 Eligibility Criteria

To register for UGMAC 2027, you must meet BCECEB’s eligibility conditions. These combine NEET UG requirements and Bihar-specific rules. Check each condition carefully before the registration window opens.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2027. Candidates born on or before December 31, 2010 are eligible. There is no upper age limit for medical admissions following the Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling that struck down NTA’s upper age cap.

Academic Qualification

You must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English as subjects. The minimum aggregate marks required in PCB are:

• UR / EWS / OBC / EBC candidates: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
• SC / ST / DQ (Differently Abled) candidates: Minimum 40% in PCB
• PwD — General category: Minimum 45% in PCB

NEET UG 2027 Qualification

You must qualify NEET UG 2027 with the minimum required percentile. NEET scores from 2025 or 2026 are not valid for UGMAC 2027 — only the 2027 score counts. The qualifying percentile requirements are:

Bihar Domicile Requirement

Bihar domicile is mandatory for state quota seats in government colleges and for 50% state quota seats in private colleges under UGMAC. You must hold a valid domicile certificate issued by a Tehsildar, SDO, or District Magistrate. Your domicile qualifies if:

• You completed Class 11 and 12 from a school or institution in Bihar, OR
• Your parents are permanent residents of Bihar, OR
• Your parents are employees of the Bihar state government or of the central government posted in Bihar

Candidates from outside Bihar can only apply for management quota or NRI quota seats in private colleges under UGMAC. They are not eligible for government college seats or state quota seats in private colleges.

Aadhaar address alone is NOT accepted as domicile proof for UGMAC. You must obtain a proper domicile certificate from your Tehsildar, SDO, or District Magistrate well before registration opens. Do not wait until the last week — certificate processing can take several days.

UGMAC 2027 Registration Process

The UGMAC 2027 registration will be done entirely online through bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The window is typically only 5–7 days, so you must have everything ready before it opens. Here is the complete step-by-step process:

How to Register for UGMAC 2027

1. Visit the official BCECEB website: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in
2. Click on the UGMAC 2027 registration link — it will appear after the official notification is released
3. Enter your NEET UG 2027 Roll Number and the required credentials
4. Verify your identity using an OTP sent to your registered mobile number
5. Fill in your personal details, academic details, and category information carefully
6. Upload scanned copies of all required documents — photograph, signature, and certificates
7. Pay the registration fee and security deposit online via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI
8. Submit the form and download the confirmation receipt immediately
9. After registration, log in again during the choice filling window to add your college and course preferences
10. Arrange your choices in order of preference and lock them before the deadline — choices cannot be changed after locking

The UGMAC 2027 registration window is expected to be only 5–7 days. Do not wait until the last day. Server load is very high on the deadline day and technical delays can cause submission failures.

How Choice Filling Works in UGMAC 2027

Choice filling is a separate step after you have registered and paid. You can add as many college-course combinations as you want and rank them by preference. In 2026, candidates had from August 10 to August 17 to fill and lock their choices. The system allots the highest-ranked available college from your locked list based on your NEET merit rank. If you are targeting a government seat, list government colleges at the top of your preference list. Include private college choices at the bottom as backups to ensure you receive some allotment even if all government seats are taken.

UGMAC 2027 Registration Fee

PMCH is the oldest and most sought-after government medical college in Bihar, founded in 1925. It consistently shows the most competitive closing NEET rank across all UGMAC rounds.
