How to Fill NIMCET Application Form 2026

The NIMCET 2026 application process was entirely online at nimcet.admissions.nic.in and was completed in two phases: new user registration followed by form filling, document upload, and fee payment. The steps below describe the process for reference and for students preparing for NIMCET 2027.

Phase 1: New Registration

1. Visit the official portal at nimcet.admissions.nic.in and click "New Registration".
2. Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID exactly as they appear on your Class 10 certificate.
3. Verify your mobile number using the OTP sent via SMS and your email using the link sent to your inbox.
4. Set a strong password and note your Application Number — you will need it for every future login, for admit card download, and for counselling.
5. Save your login credentials securely before proceeding to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Fill the Application Form

1. Log in with your Application Number and Password at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
2. Fill in personal details: name, date of birth, gender, category, nationality, and state of domicile.
3. Fill in academic details: qualifying degree, university, year of passing (or expected year), roll number, and aggregate marks or CGPA.
4. Confirm that Mathematics or Statistics was a subject in your qualifying degree — this is a mandatory field.
5. Select your exam centre preferences (up to 4 cities in order of preference).
6. Upload your photograph, signature, and supporting documents in the required format and within the specified file size limits.
7. Review every section carefully — check your name, date of birth, category, qualifying degree details, and uploaded photograph before proceeding.
8. Pay the application fee (₹2,500 for General/OBC/EWS; ₹1,250 for SC/ST/PwD) via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
9. Download and save the confirmation page — take a printout and store it safely for use during admit card download, exam day, and counselling.

Documents Required for NIMCET Application Form 2026

You had to upload the following documents at the time of filling the NIMCET 2026 application form. All documents must be clear, legible, and within the specified file size limits. Blurred or incomplete uploads are rejected during scrutiny.

Note: Upload a recent passport-size photograph with a white background and 80% of your face clearly visible. Do not upload edited, filtered, or studio-retouched photographs — these are rejected during form scrutiny.

Submit only one application form — multiple submissions from the same student will be summarily rejected.

NIMCET Application Fee 2026

The NIMCET 2026 application fee was paid online at the time of form submission. No offline payment mode (demand draft, cash, or cheque) was accepted. The fee was non-refundable under all circumstances.

NIMCET Application Form Correction 2026

NIT Trichy provided a one-time form correction facility for NIMCET 2026 from May 8 to May 10, 2026 (until 5:00 PM IST). Students could log in to the official portal and edit certain fields in their submitted application during this window.
