The NIMCET Syllabus 2026 is divided into 4 major sections: Mathematics, Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English, ensuring candidates’ aptitude for MCA Admissions.
- Among the 4 sections, mathematics will include 50 questions, which are the highest, including Algebra, Calculus, Probability, Statistics, Sets & Coordinate Geometry, contributing 40% of the total weightage.
- In the NIMCET Syllabus for Analytical ability & logical reasoning, 40 questions will be included, which will test candidates’ problem-solving speed & accuracy.

NIMCET Syllabus: Marking Scheme
The marking scheme for each section of NIMCET is different and is discussed below.
- Students will get +12 for each correct answer and -3 for each incorrect answer in Mathematics.
- +6 will be awarded for each correct answer and -1.5 for each incorrect answer in Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, and Computer Awareness.
