IPU CET Result 2026: Out on 3 May at ipu.admissions.nic.in, Counselling, Cutoff and Marks vs Rank

The IPU CET Result 2026 has been declared by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in a phase-wise manner from May 3, 2026 onwards on the official admissions portal at ipu.admissions.nic.in. Results covering all exam sessions (held April 25 to May 23, 2026) are now available for download. Candidates need their application number and date of birth to access their rank card.

Participation rose from under 90,000 in 2022 to an estimated 1.5 lakh in 2026 — close to a 65% jump over five years. The seat count at GGSIPU’s own schools has not grown at the same pace, which means competition for seats at USICT’s BCA program or USMS’s BBA has tightened considerably. A score that secured a university-school seat in 2022 will not be enough today without a noticeably higher raw marks tally.

How to Check IPU CET Result 2026

You can check your IPU CET 2026 result in multiple ways. The official admissions portal is the primary source. Here is how to do it step by step.

Method 1: Via the Official Admissions Portal (Recommended)

1. Open ipu.admissions.nic.in in your browser
2. Find the "CET Result / Rank Card" link on the homepage or under the Notices section
3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth
4. Click "Submit" or "View Result"
5. Your rank card appears on screen — check your score, percentile, and program-wise CET rank
6. Download the rank card as a PDF and keep a printout — you need it at every counselling stage

Method 2: PDF Rank List on the Admissions Portal

GGSIPU also publishes program-wise PDF rank lists at ipu.admissions.nic.in under the Notices section. Search for your application number in the relevant program’s PDF to find your rank. This is useful when the login portal is slow due to heavy traffic right after result day.

IPU CET 2026 Rank Card Details

Your IPU CET 2026 rank card is the primary document for counselling. GGSIPU generates it as a PDF for every candidate who appeared in the exam. Here is what it contains and what each field means.

Keep several printed copies of your rank card. You submit one during document verification at your allotted college and carry additional copies to subsequent counselling rounds. If you find an error — wrong name, wrong date of birth, or wrong category — report it immediately to GGSIPU at ipu.ac.in before counselling ends. IPU CET 2026 Qualifying Marks

IPU CET does not set a minimum score cut-off for generating a rank — every candidate who appeared receives a rank. However, to actually secure admission through counselling, you must meet the academic eligibility criteria for your target program. The table below summarises what you need.

Your CET rank, not your raw score, is what drives counselling. Rank 1 is the best performer. For programs with both Delhi and Outside-Delhi quotas, GGSIPU sets aside a fixed percentage of seats for Delhi-domicile candidates. Outside-Delhi candidates compete for a separate pool of seats and generally face slightly less competitive closing ranks.

Tie-breaking rules: If two candidates have the same CET rank, GGSIPU uses the higher marks in the relevant subject (e.g., Mathematics for BCA) as the first tiebreaker. Step 1 — Assess your rank and research your options

Use your CET rank to gauge which GGSIPU schools and affiliated colleges are realistic for you based on the expected cutoffs above. Shortlist at least 8–10 colleges across tiers so you have enough options during choice filling.

Step 2 — Register for IPU CET 2026 Counselling

Online counselling registration is open at ipu.admissions.nic.in. Log in, complete registration, pay the counselling fee, and fill your college and program choices in order of preference. The registration deadline differs by program — check the official schedule on the portal regularly, since deadlines can be updated.

Step 3 — Gather your documents

You need these at document verification when you report to your allotted college:

• IPU CET 2026 rank card (printout)
• IPU CET 2026 admit card (printout)
• Class 10 marksheet and passing certificate
• Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate (or provisional certificate if board result is awaited)
• Category certificate — OBC-NCL / SC / ST / EWS / PwD, if applicable
• Delhi domicile certificate — mandatory for Delhi quota seats
• Recent passport-size photographs
