Bihar Board 2027 Preparation Strategy
Bihar Board 2027 theory exams are expected in February 2027. With preparation beginning in October 2026, you have four months to cover, practise, and revise the full syllabus. Use the subject-wise strategy below.
Physics (Class 12)
- Optics carries 14 marks — allocate a full dedicated week to Ray Optics and Wave Optics separately.
- Do not skip Communication Systems (Unit 10, 5 marks) — CBSE removed it, but Bihar Board has retained it. Students preparing from CBSE books must cover this chapter from NCERT Physics Part II.
- Practise derivations for every unit — Bihar Board subjective questions regularly ask you to derive standard results.
- Draw labelled diagrams for optical instruments, transistor circuits, and logic gates — diagram questions carry 2–3 marks each.
- Solve all NCERT exercises before attempting H.C. Verma; NCERT solved examples often appear verbatim in MCQs.
Chemistry (Class 12)
- Organic Chemistry contributes ~40% of theory marks. Cover all named reactions (Aldol Condensation, Cannizzaro, SN1/SN2, Diazotisation) with clear mechanisms.
- Write short notes on important inorganic compounds (KMnO₄, K₂Cr₂O₇, bleaching powder) — their preparation, colour, and reactions appear in both MCQ and short-answer questions.
- Physical Chemistry is formula-based — practise at least 20 numericals per chapter for Solutions, Kinetics, and Electrochemistry.

Mathematics (Class 12)

- Vectors and 3D Geometry contribute 17 marks — practise direction cosine problems and distance-between-planes questions consistently.

Biology (Class 12)
- Genetics and Evolution (18 marks) is the highest-weightage unit. Focus on Mendel’s laws, DNA replication, and the lac operon.
- Read NCERT Biology line by line — many Bihar Board questions are taken directly from NCERT paragraphs and intext questions.

Class 10 Mathematics and Science
