Placement Experience

Placements are great as a tier 1 b.tech college but you have to prepare with the aptitude and english along with skills required for the job placement. most of the students get a placement opportunity if you are an average student.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike is 10% per year and costs to study is bit steeped. no scholarship for me but you can avail different scholarships based on your requirments and assistance needed. placements are good if you have good knowledge.

Campus Life

Campus facility is great. You will get a complete deal of college life because u will get each year an ENGIFEST in Jan-Feb, where u can meet with stars and big personalities. College life is the precious gift that every engineer can remember. Not only this, there are mostly 5-6 hostels are situated inside the college and area is huge, college is 600 acres wide. And a very hastlefree environment and excellent space, a great feel of nature around you.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As according to my first year fees was around 1 lac and after that 25-30000 fees has been increased every year in addition to 1 lac. In the last year fees was 175000. And scholarship programs was also there in addition to the education loan. And Campus jobs are good and actually placements are mostly dependent on the stream you choose. For lower streams, placements are 50% and all are non-tech jobs basically except few.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm pursuing B.Tech in Polymer Science and Chemical Technology(PSCT) and the real reason behind this branch was simply because I didn't get any other. But, being said that the Applied Chemistry Department under which PSCT comes in is one of the most celebrated departments of the university. The faculty: student ratio is 14:1 which is quite good. All the faculty of the Department has done PhD in their respective fields either from abroad or from IIT'S. The faculty is extremely helpful and is always ready to help students in whatever way possible be in terms of giving great academics scores or writing a nice lor. There are two exams every semester, the mid sem exams which are back to back and are finished within a week and the other is the end semester exam which has one day gap between every exam. Both, of these exams, are fairly average in difficulty but with the lenient checking of the Department, one could easily score very good marks.

Campus Life

Annual fest - Engifest - February Technical Fest - Invictus - February Sports Fest - Aahvaan - February Entrepreneurship summit - January Literary fest - Yuvaan - January DTU has a very big fully air-conditioned 3 story library consisting of an incubation facility for students' startups. Students of DTU get access to all the premium journals and research articles via their DTU id. All classrooms are with centralized AC's and are smart classrooms. There is a complete big sports complex inside the campus with the following sports Outdoor - Cricket, football, lawn tennis, softball, handball, volleyball, basketball Indoor - Table tennis, badminton, snooker The complex also has a gym.

Placement Experience

The average placement is 6 lacs per annum. Placements start from the 6th semester or third year. The student must not have any backlog at the time of appearing for placements and maintain at least 60% in 6 semesters 80-90% of students get placed, rest are either preparing for higher studies or govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

Chose this course because it was different from the common stream with wide future scope. All the faculty is highly experienced and student friendly. 2 exams per semester and were easy to get through. Little hard work and timely preparation can help in getting a good score.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course syllabus is well constructed. No industrial exposure and practical experiences are provided by the college. Students who have opted for chemical, are treated as students who have the easiest subject and humko koi mehnat nhi karni. Hum velle hai. A few faculties are good and sincere and actually helpful. Other's are either lousy and partial. They just act professors but aren't really. Only 2 faculties are worth being teachers, Dr Manish Jain and Dr Deenan Santhiya.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is commendable. I do not know much about the sports facilities but i haven't heard any complaint regarding them. Wifi and library is also Impressive. Equipment for chemical Students are either not working or are packed. We practically perform only half of the experiments.

Remarks

Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) is a public university located in New Delhi, India. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic under the control of the Government of India. It is Delhi's first Engineering college and amongst the few engineering institutions in India set up prior to independence.[2][3] The institute has been under the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi since 1963 and was affiliated with the University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009. In 2009, the college was given state university status, thus changing its name to Delhi Technological University. Till the year 2009, DCE shared its admission procedure and syllabus for various B.E. courses with Netaji Subhas University of Technology, formerly DIT, which were prescribed by Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi.

College Events

Campus life is so so so gooodddd. Beleive me you'll never regret it. Life is pretty fun. You get to be whatever you want to. From artists, musicians, singers, orators, dancers, writers, programmers, athletes you'll find everyone damn talent over here! Don't rule the students of DTU out by saying they are studious. The most famous spot in the campus, is the Open Air Theatre (OAT)

Admission

IIT JEE Mains exam is required to be cleared to get admission in DTU. I scored 110 in JEE Mains. Admissions are taken on the basis of cut-offs declared by the college itself for different courses according to the categories. 85% seats are reserved for Delhi candidates with a further reservation for ST, SC, OBC, physically handicapped, Kashmiri migrants, etc. JEE Mains, followed by various rounds of counseling. The form was procured online from the website of DTU, the notification is released in the month of June. The administration was helpful and cooperative in their approach. 4 rounds of counseling were held i.e. 4 merit lists were released followed by a spot round to fill the remaining seats.
