Industrial Engineering and Management is a 4-year undergraduate course having 8 semesters out of which 7 semesters are on theoretical subjects and workshops. One semester is for industrial training.

A candidate needs to acquire an average of 60% marks in 12^th boards from any recognized board/university. One also needs to clear national-level/state-level entrance exam or individual entrance exams conducted by universities. The tuition fee for undertaking this course ranges from INR 3 lakhs to INR 5 lakhs p.a. depending upon the university in which the student takes admission.

After completion of this course students can do Master of Science or M.Tech courses from India & abroad as well. Industrial engineering and management students can get jobs in diverse fields. Students who pursue Industrial Engineering and Management course can work in manufacturing, transportation, government sector, banking sector, IT sector, food processing industries.

NIT kurukshetra life

Campus life is very enjoyable here. Students can roam freely and can explore many things inside the campus. There is a techfest named Techspardha held twice a year which is a good platform for college students to show their talent and a cultural fest named Confluence is a very enjoyable event for all the students. There is a good Library and a book bank for students, they can issue a Book from Book banks. CCN facility is also there to use computers for study purposes. Classes should be as smart classes here as there is a projector and a screen for PPT presentation with 4-5 AC per class to provide a good environment to students. Sports facilities are decent, almost every sport is played here properly and have a proper area to practice different types of sports. There are many societies like mechsoc,erec, and microbus and different clubs like photog, mad, and Anamika which provide a platform for students to enhance their skills and explore their talents.

This nationally important college is also known for its placement. The placement percentage of this college is very good. Friends on their branches and every branch have different average packages. Students of the 7th semester are eligible for their college placement. A large number of companies visit here every year. Many big companies like Apple, Google, Mercedes, Tata, and TCL visited here. The highest package from the college is around 1.25 CR and it is from the electrical branch. Around 92-95% of the students are placed here with an average package of 11.5 lakhs. My plan is to take out to the placement from the college in the field of technology and IT sector.

NIT KURUKSHETRA : AN OVERVIEW

The annual fest is Confluence and the tech fest is Techspardha. Confluence is conducted in October and Techspardha in January. You get all your course books from a book bank and numerous other books can be availed from the library. All the classrooms are well equipped. All the sports are played and given opportunities for inter-nits and other competitions. There are many clubs like Photography Club, MAD, IeCell, etc. Dramatics Club: Organizes theatre performances and events. Music Club: Encourages musical talent and hosts music-related activities. Dance Club: Promotes various dance forms and conducts dance workshops. National Service Scheme (NSS): Engages in community service projects. Rotaract Club: Focuses on social and community service. Robotics Club: Focused on robotics and automation. Programming Club: Engages in coding competitions and programming projects. Electronics Club: Deals with electronics and circuitry. Astronomy Club: Promotes interest in astronomy and stargazing.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course has huge potential in future. The student-faculty ratio is good for core branches as compared to non-core. The teachers are extremely qualified and have a very decent way of teaching. We have two mid-term exams and one end-semester exam in a semester (nearly 6 months). The exams are not that tough and you are evaluated on the basis of your understanding of the subject.

An Overview Of NIT KURUKSHETRA : A TOP ENGINEERING COLLAGE OF INDIA

1. The name of our annual fast is Confluence and it is conducted in September month and tech Fest's name is Techsparda in August month. 2. A very big library is here and every type of book is available in the library. 3. Fully Ac and smart boards are available in every classroom. 4. Very huge sports complex is available to go to the google search 5. So many clubs are available in the collage-like HLAD, ELAD, MAD, COLOURS, IIC, ICEEL, and many more.

1. Seven semester. 2. Companies' names are Amazon, Microsoft, Flipkart, adobe, HCL, Aakash, American Express, and 150+. 3. NIT KKR honest review

I was getting only this course at my rank The student-faculty ratio is about 1:8, you can find so many phD Holders taking tutorials classes formally but they don't even come to class not even for attendance. All the faculties here are PhD holders and one of the best in their field and most of them have done PhD from REC Kurukshetra (NIT KKR) Itself, especially the old ones. Their teaching method is not so modern but very classy, they just stick to the syllabus and not to the industrial exposure also they didn't give any attention whether you are studying or playing Games in class they just need your attendance otherwise they will detain you. Term exams are held on a uniform basis every month we can say. As there is a semester of 4-5 months, you have to give 2 Mid-semester exams and One end sem exam and the overall CGPA depends on both of these scores. You can easily pass the exam but for scoring well you have to study really hard coz they didn't give you marks but will pass easily.

There are two major fests of college are TEchspradha and Confluence in this both an average celebrity is called and he will perform according to their interest like last time aman dhattarwal and Ash King was called and also there is some cultural fest in the college itself so it's not so bad but relatively less fest happens in this college. Almost all the books for your course will be available in the college. All the classrooms are AC and in the electrical block, you also have a projector also in LHC as well. Sports facilities are not so gut like tennis and Football facilities are very bad Also the swimming pool is closed for the last 3 years.

Inside NIT Kurukshetra : Pros & Cons

This course was the most promising out of all the options I was getting at my rank. Industrial Engineering is an amalgamation of Mechanical and Production technology with Business management. Till 2013, the course was named Industrial Engineering & Management but later it was named Production & Industrial Engineering with the latest updation in the syllabus in the year 2017. Regarding faculties, for lectures the ratio is 1:80 and for practicals, it is 1:20. More than 75% of the faculties teaching us are Ph.D. holders and around 50% are very interactive. Some of them teach with the traditional method of chalk and board only while some use smart screens and presentations also. The exams either Mid-Term or End-Term happen strictly as per the academic calendar where Mid-terms occur at a gap of 1 month and End Term at the end. The difficulty level is moderate in most subjects that can be passed with decent grades from class notes and one good reference book.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is different for people in different income slabs. People with having family annual income of more than 5Lacs have to pay a tuition fee and hostel rent of about 77,000 INR along with mess bills of around 35,000INR. People having a family income between 1Lac to 5Lacs get a waiver of 75% in Tuition Fees only and for less than 1 Lac, it's completely waived off. Also, for SC/ST candidates there is no tuition fee. The fees are hiked yearly as per the guidelines of the Ministry Of Education as NIT Kurukshetra is a government-owned institution of national importance. Nit Kurukshetra review

There is a cultural fest that happens regularly and also some tech meets happen regularly. Almost all the books course related are available. In the classroom, there are 4 AC in the electrical block and 8 in LHCs. Sports quality is not that good as compared to its and top nits. There are many clubs like techno byte, mechs o which are run by students.

I was getting this course only at this rank, one more I was getting civil. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:15. All the teachers are Ph.D. holders or pursuing Ph.D. at prestigious institutes. Exam held regularly every month and it's not that difficult to pass but still, you have to study if you want to score A+.

NIT kurukshetra in my opinion

Fees are the same as other NITs, just different in some extra charges. For the first semester, it is about 90k and it is around 72k per sem for the rest of each semester for the institute fee. And mess fees are 30k per semester. For students of GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC of income below 1lac per annum, the tuition fee is fully waived, for income between 1 to 5 lac 2/3rd of the tuition fee gets waived. And for SC/ST tuition fee is fully waived without any income certificate. Mess fee is the same for all category students.

Campus life is very good at NIT Kurukshetra. Students are enjoying themselves here a lot. Brahmsarovar is the most visiting place here which is about 2km from the campus. There are many clubs and societies run by the students in the college. Clubs and societies are full of fun and knowledge and helpful in all types of skill development. You can find out about every passion-related group here. Techspardha, confluence, and Utsav are major events here.

Top college for sportsman in India

The sports facilities in our college are top-notch and the student here are very competitive when it comes to sports. We have cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, handball, tennis, indoor badminton, yoga, gym, and swimming facilities. The swimming pool is not being open for some unknown reason, The social groups and technical groups present in our college also participate in our college fest and help in making it a more enjoyable event.

I was allotted this course based on my marks during the counseling process. Faculty here are top researched in many fields and have received many awards for their contribution in various fields of science and technology. The exams are easier if you have attended lecture seriously and revised it properly.

Good Facilities, Good Education and a Good Future

1. I had a fascination with engineering since I had seen 3 idiots and as a child, I had only heard good things about engineering. 2. The exams are hard and many people have to reappear for exams. 3. The teachers here are very helpful and kind in clearing doubts and also have the vigor to teach all day without making us fall asleep.

Confluence and Techsparda help every year and are the central attraction of our college. The college also has various technical clubs and societies to facilitate the development of students. Some of the well-known clubs are SAE, EMR, spica may, LSD, fine arts, and hiking club.

Sports Facilities Achi Hain

Confu and Techsparda are the two fests held in our college. The library is very big and spacious to accommodate all the students who come to study or just to enjoy the ac. The classroom is of normal size and is equipped with a projector and smartboard for better learning for the students. The sports played in NIT KKR include football, volleyball, kabaddi, disk throw, handball, badminton, basketball, weight lifting, and tennis.

1. I think the course I had to choose would allow me to make India a leading brand in all aspects of life. 2. The exam is very tough from my point of view and can be only passed if you have properly studied. 3. Some teachers are very friendly while others will mock you for everything you do.

Good Place to Do your Enginnering

a. I had a fascination with engineering since my childhood days and was very interested in being a part of the generation that will bring about new era of innovation and improvement in technology and other areas. b. The faculty present here has a vast knowledge in their area of teaching and are also eager to teach other through neccessary means. c. The exams are simple and can be cleared easily if you have paid enough attention in the class.

Confluence and Techsparda are the most famous and most awaited fest in our college. These fests last for around 3 days and filled the brim with a lots of program and various competition. The library has a large reading hall equipped with ac and a big bank. But the wifi in library is barely of any use and is a problem for many students. The sports facilities present in our college are also very good and are easily accessible.

Review from a super human aka engineer

Here professors are really good and they are always there to help you in any situation. Some professors teach through projectors and exams are held in a timely. There are 3 exams in 1 semester, 2 mid seems of 15 marks and 1 end semester of 50 marks.

Internships Opportunities

College provides internships to students. 6th semester is the mandatory internship for students and many companies visit the campus for internships. For core, there are fewer opportunities but you can get internships in other fields like an analyst.

NIT Kurukshetra is perfect to grow in the carrier.

There is 3 kind of fests held every year in NIT Kurukshetra. These are Utkarsh fest , tech fest is Techspardha and finally confluence fest in which many colleges participate. All kind of books available in the library. Every sport you can play here. Different kind of clubs and societies like mechshok, erack, Anamika, icell etc.

There are 3 kinds of students belonging to different backgrounds. The family having annual income above Rs.5 lakhs have to pay 125000 annually the family having income Rs.1-5 lakhs have to 1/3rd of 125000 and the family having annual income below Rs.1 lakhs have to pay nothing in tution fees.

Internships Experience

3rd year 2nd semester students have an internship program and 4th year have a placement drive going on the whole year. Most students get placed at 8-10 lac domain, least being 5 lacs and maximum package going to 35-40 lacs. If you have circuital branch placements that are decent i.e almost everyone gets placed.

Mostly all top companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Maruti, Mahindra, Indus, ZS visit our campus but placement is solely based on your attitude. Intern stipend can go from 10,000 to 1.5 Lacs per month, and the internship cycle goes on for six months of your 3rd year.

One scholarship is provided by central as well as state governments. in Central government scholarship criteria is that their students do not have any gap year. They take admission after the 12th but that is not in the state government. Fees are not too high. If are Sc/st or ur income is less than 100000 INR you have to pay no fees in tuition fees.

Almost 120-130 companies are coming every year. Deloitte, procdna, za Associates, amazon google Flipkart hero, Maruti almost every good company comes. Placements are also very good but due to covid it decreases in core branches but now it goes wonderful in core also especially in pie 40-50 students are placed till November from July with good CTC.

The course curriculum needs to be updated regularly because what they teach is old subjects and topics which needs to be upgraded. Some of the faculty members are very good and supportive. Regular industrial visits are conducted thus providing industrial exposure.

Placement depends on your skills as many companies do visit the campus. In the last couple of years, almost 80% students got jobs in top companies while many of the students opt for further studies. Avg salary offered is around 7.5lpa

The placement of the college is nice. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Hero, PSUs, Mahindra, Nest, Flipkart, Amazon etc visit the campus for recruitment. The highest package offered was 40 lakh per annum to a CSE student. All eligible candidates get placed every year. The alumni are good and are working in top companies.

College Events

The campus life is full of learning and happiness. There are many fests celebrated like Techspardha, Confluence, Utkarsh and Convocation. Besides there are Independence day, Republic day, Gandhi Jayanti et cetra celebrated. All of them gathers a huge number of participants from different backgrounds.

The college infrastructure is good, the sports complex is very good and well maintained. It has everything which one will need. We don't have wifi facilities but have LAN facilities which I think is not up to the mark. They have many issues. Sometimes it doesn't work properly. Most of the time they are under work construction. Sometimes it works. The labs are quite advanced. It has many equipments and has a very good facilities. There are lab attendants which keeps the labs well maintained. Equipments are new. Library is very good. There is a big library and has a very good environment for studying. The environment is just perfect for studying. Infrastructure of the library is good which is a plus point for us.

Remarks

This college is near to my native place and it has a good placement record and it helps me to learn things rather than to just mug them up. Its campus is also green lush which is a plus point. Infrastructure is also good so by seeing the overall development of this college, I joined it. I like the placement record the most. I opted PIE branch because I will be learning many new things in this and I like to learn about automobiles and their production so I chose.
