Course structure

The course is structured in a very systematic manner so as to provide all the necessary basic as well as in-depth knowledge of the various subjects and topics required for the understanding of Social Sciences by a student. Along with the traditional classroom method, students are also taken for field trips in order to get the real life situations to handle and a practical knowledge of the various areas of understanding. The students are also supposed to attend various lab sessions which include computer applications in order to understand the application of concepts related to computers.

The course structure also expects students to learn aspects of research methodology which helps them not only on the academic level in researching and devising new social theories and hypotheses but also enhances the research skills required for data sampling, data collection, surveying etc. Research methodology becomes helpful for research scholars, data analysts and data organizers in various sectors of employment like rural health and development, education development etc.

Scheme of Assessment:

The students are evaluated on the basis of their performance in written external examinations and on internal assessment which includes the laboratories, field experiences, projects and assignments and also research papers.
