BSc Hons Admission 2025 is done primarily based on entrance examinations. However, candidates can also seek a merit-based BSc Hons Admission in several colleges. A few of the top colleges for BSc Hons are BHU, Delhi University, Jadavpur University, etc. Also, candidates seeking DU BSc Hons Admission must clear the CUET entrance exam.

A few of the common BSc Hons entrance exams are CUET, NPAT, etc. Central Universities such as Delhi University, JNU, JMI, BHU Varanasi, etc offer BSc Hons Admission 2025 based on marks scored by candidates in the CUET entrance exam and 10+2. NTA will conduct the CUET 2025 from May 15 – 31, 2025.

Ans. Yes, IGNOU offers decent BSc courses. Although it is a distance learning degree, the course work is heavy. You will have to submit assignments and attend practical classes regularly. IGNOU has a strict evaluation system. You need to go thoroughly through the study materials to score well. Pursuing the degree along with a full-time job or full-time degree will be hectic. Ans. The duration of IGNOU BSc practical depends on the credits of the particular course you have opted for. For example, if your practical course is a 4 credit course, then you have to learn lab work in that particular course within a 13 days period.  Sign on the attendance sheet daily during this period Maintain observation record of your practical work in your practical record book At the end of the day evaluate your practical records with your professor. On the 14th day, appear for the practical examination and viva. Normally you get a minimum of 60% in the practical exam. You will lose these marks if you miss the practical exam.Read more

DU has a brand name, but if your overall grades aren't good enough, having a degree from Delhi University is pointless. By providing many resources and an intellectual environment, Delhi University will assist you in exploring various aspects of your personality. However, if you have a bachelor's degree in any of the Science subjects or even Mathematics, you will need to do a master's or even a PhD to get a decent-paying job. However, if you are an SRCC or Stephens graduate, you may be able to get a good placement from the college itself if you have a degree in Arts or Commerce with above-average marks. The best colleges vary depending on your subject, such as SRCC for those interested in commerce. Stephen's is also regarded as one of the most prestigious universities. Ans. In Patna University you have to calculate the percentage from total marks you obtained in your honours.  If you have four honours papers of 100 marks each and you have got 320 out of 400. Ques. Is a BSc (general) distance learning IGNOU student eligible for giving the UPSC-CSE, IFoS, IIT-JAM and CAT?

Ans. In order to get admission to the MSc program of IITs, you have to appear in the IIT JAM examination. This requires BSc Hons or a major in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics. IGNOUs BSc major program has an option of a Physics major(48 credits of physics course out of total 96 credit for major in physics), Chemistry major(40 credits for major), Mathematics major or a BSc (General). So you can apply for IIT-JAM only if you have a  BSc major degree in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics BSc General degree with combinations of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
