  • Fundamentals of Soil Science: The Soil Science Fundamentals subject provides an overview of Genesis, Classification and Morphology, Chemistry, Fertility, Biology, and Land Use.
  • Fundamentals of Crop Physiology: Crop physiology deals with the processes and functions of the crops at cellular, sub-cellular and whole plant levels in response to environmental growth.

  • Agricultural Microbiology: Agricultural microbiology deals with plant-associated microbes and plant and animal diseases. It also studies the microbiology of soil fertility.
  • Problematic soils and their Management: Soils having serious constraints to cultivation and needing special management techniques are known as problem soils.

  • Pests of Crops and Stored Grain and their Management: It is a strategy that focuses on the long-term prevention of pests through techniques such as biological control, habitat manipulation, modification, and use of resistant varieties.
  • Manures, Fertilizers and Soil Fertility Management: Soil fertility sustain plant growth and optimize crop yield. This can be done via organic and inorganic fertilizers to the soil. 
  • Agricultural Marketing Trade & Prices: Agricultural marketing includes marketing functions, agencies, channels, efficiency and costs, producer's surplus, marketing institutions, government policy and research, etc.
  • Farm Management, Production & Resource Economics: Farm management is an intra-farm science and agricultural production economics is an inter-region science. The difference between production economics and farm management refers to macro and micro level contents.
