Fees and Financial Aid

I'm doing Bcom ( Professionals) in Christ university. This course is integrated with CIMA (UK) . They also provide coaching for Company secretary foundation level. The annual pack for the 2024 students is 270000/ year and is compulsory for all three years. But they increase the fee year and is expected to charge extra for the next academic year . The atmosphere of the college is spectacular. The college provides various opportunities for internship in many programs. The also give equal importance to extracurricular activities. The college helps us to understand how we can manage both academics and extracurricular activities. Overall the college helps us in our character building and betterment of ourselves.

Faculty

The faculties here are super friendly and nice! All the faculties take a lot of effort. Any complaint against the faculty immediate action is taken by the management. There are 2 semester in a year and 2 exams( mid-sem and end-sem) each semester. The passing rate is high . Students can pass it if they are attentive in class

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees that I has paid was around 60000. SXCMT do not provide any kind of scholarship but it gives a kind of financial support to some of the students by launcing a task "EARN & LEARN" in which students have to work for fixed numbers of hours and the finance team will going to pay for that. Apart from that the registration fee for University exam is about 1200 rupees semester wise. Those who persue BBA they have to pay a bit more for the course than any other courses. '

Campus Life

Festivals like XEST and many more things are being conducted on a monthly basis. Huge library is there in which anyone who wants to get any material so he/she gets that from the same. SXCMT has multiple grounds like badminton court , cricket stadiumin, football court which allow the students to play in the evening. Multiple social work activities are being performed by NSS and Youth for India YFI groups.

The course is updated every year and is very relevant to the fast paced world. They have integrated the Bcom course with acca subjects so that it will be easy for us to keep up with both the courses. They have integrated NEP subjects as per the mandate of the government which helps the students learn about the basic fundamentals apart from their course.

The campus is very huge comprising of 3 buildings for different courses. Apart from the building, there are many places to be explored by students such as peace park, al vana, aloyseum, the chapel and many more. They have a proper timing on what to teach and how to teach and they make sure they complete it before the internals or end sem exams they make sure to take extra class in case they aren't completed with the class the course also gives us holidays based on when our Acca exams are and give us 15 to 20 days of holidays in preparation before that and they give us a 6 paper exemption from the total 13 papers so we only have to write 7 papers for the acca exams and not the 13 ones that we need they can improve it by making the classes start a little late and make sure they give proper caoaching to their students

Faculty

The ratio of faculty to students is such that for every 30-40 students there is 1 lecturer. Most of the lecturers are very understandings and very supportive when it comes to students and their problems. I really liked all the lecturers that ever taught me. In a semester there are 2 internal exams that is out of 50 and 1 semester exam that is out of 60. The lecturers really help you out to clear the semester papers by giving proper revision classes. And the exams are easy if you're prepared and hard if you've not studied at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have to complete an internship so that really helps us understand what field do we really want to work in or work under, we start understanding our interests. We have to complete projects for which surveys need to be conducted and that helps us understand the other persons point of view. The semester exams go on for 3 hours and they are not very difficult if prepared.

Since it is not just a bcom but bcom professional course, the fees is really high when compared to other courses. It is a 3year course with the fourth year being optional. The overall course covers various portions and the fee structure remains the same (doesnt increase). I am not sure about the scholarship details

Faculty

There are 2 sems per year, with 2 mid sems every sem, so if we include everything there are around 4 sems every year. Over a span of 3 years there are 12 sems. Coming to the faculty, they are really really good, i love every one of them. They are very very supportive

So before you write your semester exam you are given two internal exams and a retest if you miss one and you are given 40 marks through your internals before semester which is of 60 around 10% of students fail to clear exams the course curiculam is very relevant

If honors is not chosen, the course would be 3 years and the fees would be around 7 lakhs and if it is opted, the course will be 4 yrs with a fees of around 9 lakhs in total. There is no category based fees in Christ, but scholarships will be given according to income, marks etc.

Faculty

The faculty to student relationship is good inside the class. They are friendly and approachable inside the campus. However we can't and are not allowed to contact them through their contact numbers. Our class teacher Ankita ma'am is my favourite teacher here. She is an economics teacher and is so nice to the students and teachers very well.

Ques. Which course is better: B. Commerce Hons or BA Economics Hons from DU?

● Top Answer By Divjot Bagga on 06 Oct 22

Ans. The answer to this question will rely on your future goals, what you compassionately dream of doing, and what you believe you will truly like. However, Economics Honors from DU is one of the best courses with exceptional scope and value in the corporate world. Everyone is aware that the University of Delhi's most prestigious course is Economics Hons. Rapidly rising cutoffs provide proof of this.  Additionally, compared to other courses, it offers higher placement prospects. Nevertheless, immense power entails great responsibility. It's not the kind of subject you can get by with just one night of studying. It necessitates commitment and diligence. Additionally, it is the most challenging course the university offers. So, BA Economics is the best option for anyone who is keenly interested in the subject.  BA Economics(Hons) is DU's most difficult yet prestigious course. As a result, if you are in the unreserved category, you will need a higher percentage. Try to get a score of 90% or higher to get into DU, and 95% or higher to get into DU's good colleges. In the end, it all comes down to your score.Read more

Ques. What is the passing criteria for B.Com (H) year 1 SOl DU?

● Top Answer By Sanjana Kapoor on 06 Oct 23

Ans. SOl DU’s first year exam of B.com isn't as tough as you might think. A few criteria for passing the first-semester exam are as follows:  To clear your first year, you need to score at least 33% in every subject, out of a total of 75 marks. Sounds doable, As long as you hit that 33% mark in each subject, you're on track to successfully move forward in your academic journey. Now, let's talk about the "what if." If, unfortunately, you score below 33% in any one subject, don't worry too much. You won't have to repeat the entire year. Instead, you'll need to give an ER (Essential Repeat) the following year, which is your second year. Here's the trick - try to aim for an ER in as few subjects as possible. If you have to give an ER for more than four subjects, then, yes, you'll have to repeat the entire year. So, as you dive into your first year, remember that success is within your reach. Stay focused, study hard, and aim for those 33% scores. Read more

Ques. Which DU college is better, Ramjas or Sri Venkateswara for B.Com?

● Top Answer By Samiksha Madan on 21 Jan 22

Ans. Both Ramjas and Sri Venkateswara are reputed colleges under Delhi University. According to the reviews online Sri Venkateswara (SVC) is better when it comes to commerce than Ramjas. SVC has better placements, faculty and overall exposure. Both colleges are very much involved in cultural activities and extracurriculars. If you are willing to opt for a science course then go for Ramjas, Commerce is better in SVC. They both have no strict rules to maintain a 75% attendance, you should just have enough to sit for the internals. Students who are unable to sit in the internals due to their involvement in clubs and societies have to submit an ECA to their teacher. This is possible in both the colleges. Ramjas has a better infrastructure than SVC. But all these do not matter much, if you are dedicated to your studies, you can succeed in any college. Choose the college nearer to you, the north or the south campus.Read more

Ques. Should I go for B.Com (P) from Motilal Nehru College or Shaheed Bhagat Singh (E) College?

● Top Answer By Ria Arora on 13 Jan 22

Ans. Motilal Nehru is a morning college whereas Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) has both morning and evening colleges. At first, you will have to decide your preference for the timings. One of my friends graduated from Motilal Nehru College (Day) and has had flatmates studying in evening colleges. According to him their routines were completely different. So, the choice completely depends on you and which time of the day you are comfortable with. Motilal Nehru has a competent faculty, with spacious new buildings, library and good placements. They also have active societies such as Enactus, DebSoc, Archon Leadership Cell and others. Another benefit of being in Motilal is that it is located in the South Campus and is always crowded. This crowd attracts the building of proper hangout places. Its Satya Niketan market offers good places to eat and good coaching centers. On the other hand SBSC (E) would only give you the benefit because of its past reputation, good sports infrastructure and its proximity to Select City Walk. Therefore make an informed decision as this will be motivated towards the shaping of your career.Read more
