Course Curriculum Overview

4

If you attend most of the class you can learn we'll enough for the exams. Currently I don't have idea about the exam system but in 2020-2023 batch the time was sufficient. Exam were managed in proper systematic manner.

Internships Opportunities

2

For my academic purpose I was supposed to do 2 internship corporate internship and Ngo services. Ngo service we found some NGO's that provided internship but for the corporate it was very difficult to find any company. There was no stipend also provided. College didn't provide any help for students to find internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

4

There placements available but they are not well versed. There is no immediate offer letter provided. I applied in the first placement that happened in the month of Nov 2022 and got selected and received a selection letter. Now it is 2024 Dec where I still didn't receive my offer Letter. Not everyone gets placed and the average package is around 3.5-4

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year it costed around 53-57K. There are benefits by scoring high marks in 12th grade and for few category students. There are certain scholarship provided based on some category as per college rules and regulations.

Campus Life

3

As it is Bangalore City University the books to study is available in the library. All class has well equipped projector and a podium. Sports and extra curricular activities is not given much interest. The campus is just a building with a small ground. Where in your not allowed to the ground and the canteen there is always on WIP for some renovation. Even if it is opened it doesn't have much food varities or such

Admission

I had applied only for Jain University rather than SSMRV. The reason for choosing so is that it was cost efficient and as my cousins studied there the coaching was good enough. I already had a plan of doing master which may cost higher and I didn't want to spend much in UG. Currently I don't know the details about the staffs working there as most of them who were there in my batch are not working there. But before they had a well managed staff who were really good enough to explain the content so that everyone can understand.

Faculty

3

The class strength is too high but anyways most of them don't attend. The management pretend to be strict in arrival timings but management overall can be rated around 3 over 5 for its management responsibilities.

Night Life

2

Location of the college surrounding seems to be safe but it doesn't have any hostel facilities where most of them stays in nearby PG. It has a gym and library. The campus is overall a 2.5. Though Library has well equipped books and all in my opinion I didn't find it to be that good.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
