In BA Home Science course, a student has to study a combination of 6 subjects during the course of three years that is two subjects per year. The syllabus for this course is different in some aspects for different colleges. The marking scheme of this course involves marks scored in theory and practical papers.

Child – Development	Introduction to child development, Development with Characteristics from Birth to Adolescence, Play and work, Personality, Exceptional Children,	The course will enable the students to understand the significance and value of child development.
Fundamentals Of Foods And Nutrition	Introduction of foods and Nutrition, Essential Constituents of food, Basic food Groups, Methods of cooking, Food Adulteration & Food Poisoning	This paper imparts knowledge of the importance of Food and its components.
Dietetics And Therapeutic Nutrition	Introduction, Malnutrition, Nutrition During lifecycle, Therapeutic Nutrition, Dietary modification for the following diet	The course will allow the students to learn and understand undernourishment, meal planning, and dietetics.
